Okay first of all this game is very outdated especially when it comes to camera controls, character controls and just a lot of QoL standards that 95% of games today have so be aware of that before playing. That is the biggest downside this game has. Other than that, everything else in this game still holds up unexpectedly well. Let alone holding back, it looks like it came out a few years ago. Character models are really really good. So good that in the beginning of the game you could count the main characters back bones because she's wearing a backless dress. Never seen that in a game before lol. Facial expressions are insanely well made too so the popular actor choices like Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe are justified since they're actually acting instead of just voice acting with half-arsed mocaps. And something that I have to point out is how almost every single thing in this game was designed with the intent of making it as cinematic as possible. But like I said, that sometimes converts to very bad camera and character controls. The story is really good as you would expect since this is one of those "story games". The characters are well written and the story is structured in a way that you cant help but like Jodie, the main character. It's not like some other games where you just don't care about the main character. I was under the impression that everyone was aware of this game and how good it was but it's not even that popular apparently. I wouldn't say its underrated or anything but its way less known than i was expecting. Its one of those games and it's definitely worth experiencing.

Okay I played the first game alot and it's one of my favorite games of all time and I think it was very very well-made so I was actually curious about what they could even improve upon. But this game doesnt do many things better than the first game. But it doesnt do much worse either, but there is definitely a drop in quality for certain things. First of all, most important thing for me that had a decrease in quality are the characters. Melinoe does not have HALF the charm and charisma that Zagreus had. And its not just the main character, most other characters are an inferior version of themselves from the first game (Except Artemis, they hit the bullseye with her). Even the bosses and NPC's you face during your runs dont feel very interesting at all except a total of like, 2 of them(real number). In the first game you had so many interesting characters like Nyx, Theseus and the Minotaur, Achilles, Thanatos, Hades himself and so many more that had great interactions and dialogue. In this one you have, like, fake Achilles, fake Thanatos and so on. What i mean by that is most of the characters dont feel very authentic or intriguing. The weapons and aspects you have are also not really interesting when you compare it with the line up from the first game. This doesn't mean this is a bad game of course, the first game was just too perfect to improve. The boon combos, weapon upgrade combos and synergies all feel really good and the hex mechanic is also really fun and are one of the only things that were actually better in this game. Overall it is still an insanely good game with alot of content but it does not come close to the first game. Definitely worthwhile to play though.

This is genuinely a really good Batman story in a very very unique way. It's funny how under the radar this game is. If this was a comic run and not a Telltale game people would be talking highly about it. Of course it's not a flawless game but the vision is there. There are some technical issues here and there and some parts of the story/characters are a bit rough but it's not enough to warrant a negative review. But one thing that is really bad in the game is the choices you are asked make. I can recall only one time in the entirety of the game where i was really contemplating which choice to go for and that was at the very end of the game. Still a great game.

Incredible game with an equally incredible and heartfelt story. I was not expecting a 10/10 game when i started playing but it exceeds even that. 11/10. Doesn't waste your time with worthless side bs. No fillers, only gives you what it wanted to give. Wish more games did this. Gameplay loop is solid and the story keeps you playing.

Timeless classic. Genre defining game. Type of game you would remember for years. Great story and characters, music, dialouge and everything. Feels natural and it has soul. Can't think of a flaw.

Best beat 'em up you'll ever play. It's so much fun to master every stage and every character with their uniqe playstyles and movesets. Amazing sound design and music. Very hard, i mean they still mess me up sometimes even after like 150 hours, and also super addicting. There's everything you'd want from this kind of game except it's actually goated in every aspect
