I'm pretty torn on this one. I love the story intro, and I really enjoyed the gameplay/graphics, but there are other elements that I would love to see changed entirely or simply improved. Here's my Pro/Con list:

PROS

1) Graphic design is excellent
2) Voice Acting is really well done
3) Story, at least in the prologue, is engaging and leaves you wanting more
4) Skill tree and level up mechanics allow full customization over the type of character you want to create
5) Randomly generate maps allow somewhat unique gameplay each time you continue

1) Non-stacking inventory items - I've always hated inventory tetris, but not being able to stack one group of simple arrows with another, or healing salves/food items/scrolls, really makes inventory management a PITA and takes away from my enjoyment of the game
2) Lack of save/waypoints - This game is PUNISHING. Reaching the final boss of the prologue only to get wiped out and have to start from the archives again is pretty brutal
3) The hunger/thirst mechanics are interesting, but depending on the map you're dealt could leave your character walking around starving for a long period of time. Consistency with this mechanic or balancing it would go a long way.
4) Healing is a chore, and depending on how long you rest to heal up is actually becomes a negative as baddies crawl closer and your character becomes more and more hungry. This might be related to the item above, but healing becomes a management game within the game and I found that it took some enjoyment out of the experience.

Overall, I'm recommending this game as I'm excited to see where it goes from here. I will definitely be purchasing the more finished product when complete.

There's something for everyone in this game. It's chill, while not necessarily lacking in challenge.
