beautiful art and music, compelling mechanics and story. amazing characters and designs. i've done 4 or 5 endings now and i've cried at multiple because they're so touching. god bless lyle and roaches

maybe it's changed since launch, but i heard a lot of complaints about it being rough for f2p and haven't found that to be the case. for context, the last gacha game that i really played was LLSIF, unless you count PTCGO/PTCGL.

the gameplay's a little simple, but i like it. i don't know why people use the auto-battle feature, but maybe my tastes there are different than most peoples'. i enjoyed the soft-rewatch of the original series, and just got to side story.

the animations are top notch, honestly. some of the designs (reira, himika) are... not great- but i don't put that on this game in particular. i've seen people complain about the summer event outfits being sexualized, but i'm not seeing it. they're just swimsuits- the summer event story section is just a little trapped-in-a-game sideplot.

i was hesitant and put it off for a while cause of what i've heard about it, but overall, if you like madoka magica, it's worth trying out.

least favorite of the new vegas DLCs. ulysses was annoying as ♥♥♥♥. ed-e was the only redeeming quality

the game was a little confusing at first but fun once you get the hang of it. that said 80% of lobbies i joined had someone who was harassing me for being trans or just called me slurs on vc with seemingly no way to report them at all. there were multiple games i joined where a group of friends would group up on me, call me a slur, kill me almost as soon as possible, and lie to the other players about it. even outside of that, there's a lot of screaming on mic, trolls, and very little co-operation. 8/10 game 2/10 experience, absolutely cannot recommend at time of posting other than to exclusively play it in private lobbies with friends

edit 9/1: the community has definitely mellowed out after the sale ended, though it's still not exactly the best. i just join lobbies with people i've played with already, and i have a good time that way. as for the game itself, the maps in particular could really use more variety. 8/10 game 8/10 experience. thanks 2 my h8rs 4 the steam points

edit 9/9: i've played more with people i don't know, and i think the community just generally is a very mixed bag of 30% friendly and helpful players and 70% "that's just how the internet is" casually toxic players/players who tolerate them. 8/10 game 5/10 experience, play at your own risk. can't recommend buying it outright, but play the free pass a couple times a day for a few days and see how you like it.
