It absolutely breaks my heart. KSP is probably my favourite game ever and then they just abandon the sequel that aimed to give us all that was missing for perfection. Boughtvit after the science update since the timely delivery of that gave me hope we might get to the meat of it soon. I am immensely disappointed, especially since a refund is obviously out of the question with current policies. The took 50€ and worse, some of my love for KSP.

Probably the most densely packed fun I have had in years, both single- and multiplayer. You can easily get a very good idea of if you will like the game within the refund period, as the average run is 40 minutes. I can absolutely recommend this to anyone of any age, it's cute, has fun gameplay, and great potential as a couch game with the family. This game is extremely unlike other videogames I have played in the last years, which makes my positive impression of it kind of suprising to myself.

Don't let the "off topic review activity" distract you from the fact that these excluded negative reviews are the most topical (if not in their text then in the reason they were actually left here) War Thunder reviews have been in 5-6 years.

Game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥, the grind is unbearable and has nearly been unbearable for years.

A game that can be fully appreciated and enjoyed within 2 hours (so the refund limit). Hence it's perfect to impress Steam's regular "reviewers". Sadly if you want a game to play, you will feel scammed.

Having played the Day 30 Demo, this IS a downgrade. I suspect the dev encountered some serious issues with the foundations of said demo and had to develop everything from the ground up again.

While I would not inherently blame an indie dev for this, how an actual publisher gave the go-ahead to release this (even into early access) is a mystery to me. It was a mistake to release this now instead of 3-6 months from now. However, as so often happens with indie devs, I suspect financial pressure on the dev's side and pressure from the publisher to release and release fast led to this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of a release. Please, Why485, do not let this become another Vector Thrust. While you might have dodged the technical woes that had, for now. Do not let this burn out in the same way.

I will not refund this since I know how charming and wonderful the demos were and think this dev deserves support. But to you, the reader: Do not buy this if you want a game, this might change as development goes on, but right now its a game to try, refund, buy again once it's better at best, and something to ignore until the dev releases their next game at worst.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS, I do recommend supporting devs that create charming experiences, however. So it's a no for now, not forever.

Edit August 2024: Progress has been very slow, dont't buy it. At this pace in about 2028-2030 this review will become positive. Nuclear Option exists now, so this isn't reallly the only game in town for casual military sim that isn't grinding hell pvp war thunder anymore. I'm saddened by the way things went with this game's development honestly.
December 2024 update: So the "big updates" in the pipeline turned out to be a 3d model, a recolored asset with different code and minor graphical improvements to make this near abstract game where i cant tell where the ground is half the time look more realistic. What are we doing at this point?
November 2025 update: Yeah, big old nothing, Abandonware with the minimum of updates required to seem like its in development. No more goodwill, NOT RECOMMENDED. Game has been in EA so long that it changed with the EA landscape, read as: Never will be a viable product.
