This game is a masterpiece so far. The tutorial area really sets the mood & tone for the game, it did really well to hook me in. It's Persona 5, Sekiro/dark souls, and Mario RPG all in one. If normal RPG's scare you away because you can't stay engaged, the parry/dodge system will keep you locked in.

The first Area you go to after the world map (very reminiscent of FFVII) is so beautiful and I lost a decent amount of time just looking at the map & skybox.

The music is great and so far I haven't found a single thing to complain about. If I had to find something, it's that I'm playing on the hardest difficulty, and there are optional side bosses that my brain really wants me to beat but it takes a few tries (but this is on purpose).

Marketing and videos look great, the idea of the game is just what I'm dying to play (co-op ability based looter shooter).
Shame I can't get past downloading the shaders because I "run out of VRAM" on my 3080 when the recommended card (not minimum, recommended) is GeForce RTX 2060.
this game had 242 "mostly positive" reviews less than 2 days ago, we're now sitting at almost 9,000 "mixed"

For the king meets divinity. Lots of great QOL features, easy to change builds/classes/respec.

This game is amazing, it's like if Risk of Rain 2 could feel better. It's one of the best bangs for the buck I've ever gotten out of a game. Been playing since first Early access and Friends and I still pick it up after updates. Cannot wait for their first paid DLC coming.

This game feels like somebody came into the office with their mother's best recipe, but then dropped the ball. There is a skeleton of a game here that could have been fantastic but upon building upon it could not meet their aspirations.
There is a "job" system, but it's basically just gated skills, if you don't select 'the' class path you're completely handicapping yourself. There are no reset options and there is lacking massive information. When you first look at the classes, you'll see "end cap" skills that feel like you're basically selecting the class based on these end cap skills. However, the game doesn't tell you that these Silver outlined skill nodes are not accessible during the game (post game content only, and specific rules to it)

To top off that aspect, there are tonnes of bugs and issues (Ensure the golden rule, keep multiple different save files). I've been soft locked out of multiple side quests due to these bugs and have to just give up on them, one of which is a quest to be able to get a subjob.

This game had so much information/feedback to pull from, and decided to disregard all Quality of life aspects generated over time from other games (5 second example.. when you buy items from the shop, you can't equip them right there)

I hate that this game is getting bad reviews, I want JRPGs to thrive so developers will keep trying them, but I would like to give a realistic view into this game.

Heads up, only get this if you're planning to play Single player. Multiplayer netcode is horrendous. Your friends & the monsters will be teleporting around & causing bad hit reg on the enemies. tried at $8, still felt like it was ripping me off.
