Rocket Rats is a roguelite/survivors-like where you shoot enemies to gain cheese. There are permanent upgrades in the form of skill trees and multiple characters each with their own unique specializations. The core gameplay mechanic is that after each wave, you get to choose an upgrade. Choosing the same upgrade multiple times in a run yields stronger results, and there are multiple synergies to take advantage of.

It is not a particularly difficult entry in the "choose 1 of 3 cards" style of roguelites, but it is quite cute and does not overstay its welcome as far as achievements are concerned. It took a little under 5 hours for me to complete, and I enjoyed it for the duration of my playthrough.

Mr. Lucky is the best. :3

Adorable picross/nonogram game! I very much enjoyed my time with it. The nonograms aren't particularly difficult, but they are quite fun to solve. Also includes accessibility features (clue roulette/auto-correct mistakes), but true 100% requires ignoring those features. True 100% took me around 13 hours.

Shelldiver is very similar to games like Nodebuster; a few hours long with upgrades focused around a central skill tree. If you liked any of those incremental games, then you'll like Shelldiver! Plus, who doesn't love jellyfish and turtles.

Syzygy is a puzzle game with one major gameplay element: your character is able to change the tiling of the environment to either consist of triangles, squares, or hexagons between each movement. As your character can only move to touching tiles, the change in the level's geometry changes which tiles are touching, and therefore changes your movement options! The game introduces new mechanics that necessitate the use of the core gameplay element.

The level design is clever, and the mechanics are well-introduced and don't overstay their welcome. Learning how the mechanics interact with each other was quite fun! It is far from an easy puzzle game, but it is well worth the effort if you find yourself enjoying the core gameplay.

Aesthetically, the game is very charming. The main character* is adorable, the pixel-art style and designs are fun, and the level 'names' are intriguing. There are so many details to look out for when transitioning between the level geometries, whether it be character designs, background elements, or even the UI elements themselves. And, these details are only compounded upon as the game progresses.

The game also shares its name with one of my favorite English words: syzygy! An astronomical term referring to the alignment of three or more celestial bodies (a "common" one for us would be the Sun, Moon, and Earth aligning to create an eclipse!).

The developer left an announcement about their decision to make the game free, and I wanted to take the time to say that I thoroughly enjoyed my playthrough of this game, and I hope they are well. :)

Phenomenal, short puzzle game. So many clever puzzles and fun twists to familiar puzzles, presented in aesthetically pleasing styles and a dry sense of humor. I really can't recommend it enough: if you like puzzles, strongly consider getting this one!!

Quite short: 35 levels which took me 15 minutes. Mechanics are well-introduced and intuitive.

Because the game only allots a set amount of moves per level, solutions often necessitate spinning certain pieces clockwise and other pieces counter clockwise, which my brain had lots of trouble with. I would find an indicator as to how the piece will spin quite useful! Or just an undo button to fix an incorrect input instead of a restart.
