Like Mount and Blade, but with modern military units and you can control anyone or zoom out Total War style. Needs more work, but this is already one of the most interesting shooters with the most potential I've seen in years. With the right handling ,this could be the better single player ARMA everyone could ever want.

the dynamic campaign was really interesting if not a little buggy, regardless the mechanics in this game are quite a blast and very good for a modern RTS IMO

The items rotate automatically when you go to put them in a container, and that feature doesn't cost $250 or even 100 dollars. 8/10 release

This game scratched an itch deep in my demonic brain that has not been properly satisfied since I first played Diablo II. That alone is nearly worth a 10/10 in my book. No game is perfect, but Warhammer has sucked me into a world rich with years of lore and potential. While the Total War series has always been one of my favorites, I must admit that CA tends to neglect certain mechanics that are widely enjoyed in favor of focusing on the parts of the game they want to "highlight". Even then, when a mechanic such as the reworked sieges is one of the highlighted mechanics, it comes at a cost of backwards progress in AI pathfinding, variety of tactics the AI uses against you, and other improvements made over time.

What IS in the game feels excellent and well realized, with a few exceptions I won't get into for spoilers sake and brevity. A few of the campaign mechanics feel a little under-realized but generally all of the base factions are very welcome additions and brought to life in wonderful fidelity. Waiting for IME feels a bit like they released GTA 6 months before GTA Online or something to that effect, which has been tough but that will have to be assessed at a later date.

I have had a few VERY minor performance issues and only like 2 crashes after leaving the game on for literal days at a time. The most prominent but overall insignificant performance issue I encountered was the game not remembering my resolution or requested custom settings which was strange but eventually mysteriously stopped occurring. The battle map performs MUCH better than the campaign map, even moreso than TWW II. I would say other than the campaign map drops and ugly foliage, TWW III is one of the most visually impressive and well optimized Total War games yet, especially when Nurglings or Khorne's Blood Horde are on screen. It is however still as demanding as the Total War series has always been, I would recommend a 2080ti or equivalent for resolutions above 1080p.

This is the best Mirror's Edge game ever, and it has co-op AND zombies? no seriously though, I'm not quite sure why so many people are saying they prefer the first game. The story was always kinda meh, and at least they put a lot of work into it and the characters this time around. That's the general vibe I get from everything in this game, they put a LOTTT of work into the whole world, the combat and items, side quests and environmental storytelling, etc. Not quite Witcher or Deus Ex levels of environmental detail, but surprisingly close. The game is generally a technical achievement that deserves credit.

A lot of people are also saying the choices don't matter or are badly implemented which is surprising to me. Yeah, a lot of the choices are just narrative branching paths but many of them literally take characters out of the story or completely change which quest you take on. Those seem to be pretty meaningful to me.

Overall really enjoyed all aspects of this game, and while it was fairly bad with bugs at launch many of them were fixed quickly. Some progression stoppers and badly implemented triggers stood out above the usual glitchy physics and cutscenes here and there, which is kind of inevitable with a game this big.

Last complaint to tackle, a lot of people ALSO said the virals were really rare, I have no idea how much of the game they really played or if they remember how OP it was easy to become in DL1. There's plenty of virals at night and encounters are placed everywhere, once you start making a lot of noise they come at you in groups of 10 or so even without the chase meter in highly populated areas. I mean, there's not 10 Goons coming out of nowhere but yeah.

Expiring Photons 2 gets 74/100 millimeters of UV light.

Too much blood, will not be buying this for my toddler. Disappointment levels are very satisfactory.
Great jorb, Techland! Love, TROGDOR

Eventually, this game was made into a very presentable version of the product Hello Games envisioned. It is not perfect, nor do No Man's Sky's(excellent) recent revuvenations excuse the mishandling of marketing and PR circus that surrounded the launch. But after being denied a refund I can now say in good conscience that No Man's Sky is, today, a game well worth it's purchase price.
