I literally just played this game because the character design and bosses look cool but wow I did not expect the game to be amazing and memorable (not to mention the music). Those "overwhelmingly positive reviews" pretty much sum up my experience.

While I still had a few hours of fun playing this, beating the sequel's story campaign really made me miss the first game so darn much. I find the lack of level differentiation a total let down because I was a big fan of the ice / space levels in Overcooked 1 (because, yes, sliding to your death is still a fun mix when you're hyperfocused on doing something). Difficulty has been generally toned down from something formidable to downright aggravating and thanks to the point multiplier, you can easily get (3) stars in one try. I expected more things happening on the main map since they introduced switched but things got repetitive too which is a bummer.

But the biggest let down for me was the last few levels. The last boss of Overcooked 1 tooks us almost 5 hours trying to polish our teamwork, so I anticiapted that same exciting feeling. Sadly, the game blew it off with the most underwhelming finisher. It went like "Oh. Wait? That's it?".

Overcooked 2 is still a nice co-op game that challenges you and your friends but the sequel is a half-baked comparison to its predecessor. If you're planning on getting this, I'd recommend that you buy the first game instead.

The story is really fluffy (with terribad puns jfc), adorable character design and a really nice soundtrack that makes a great road trip beat. Probably the only thing lacking in this game is the ability to make choices. I'm not saying the kinectic approach is bad but because, please, we need that Mariah route too.

PS: I recommend the ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) route. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Before I played Undertale, I was really baffled why people were so in love with the game so with that thought, I really have to give it a shot.

Boom, okay, wow, it completely blew me away in so many levels. Don't mind the 8-bit graphics (but if you're like me with a fetish for 8-bit then carry on) because the game is obviously more than that. The concept was surpising despite looking like a "kids game" with the not impressive interface and how most of the elements are designed.

What was even more surprising was that I never thought I would get emotional and attached with what Toby prepared. Most of the characters were quirky and likeable. The humor was...really punny. It was a roller coaster of emotions and I felt like, as a player, the core of my morality was being questioned (ironically, by the game itself) as I lead my character towards Home.. Questions like "Why did I do that", "Should I do it?" "But..." What If?" came playing in my head. All the routes of Undertale were all satisying adventures in themselves and it's perfect because everything simply...connects.

PS. The soundtrack is amazing. Really, really amazing. 100/10! I even like how talented the UT fandom is because even the remixes are worth the listen.
