The game in the current state is a bad beta at best.
Hit registration is bad but workable, even though it means you will always lose to someone with a higher ping than you. You get random IR sights or scope vignette on your screen because SOMEONE ELSE is using a scope or an IR sight. Hardcore vehicle crosshairs disappear. Vehicles can decide to not spawn on maps they're supposed to spawn on, if you're lucky, the enemy vehicles as well. Lots of drone glitchers in majority of games climbing unaccessible areas and being a nuisance, many of the unaccessible areas contribute to capture points as well. Class perks can decide to work or not during gameplay. Bloom bug on weapons making you start out with max bloom. Random physics bugs throwing you high into air from prone.

Other glaring defects include: cannot turn off crossplay (controllers get 25% reduced recoil, aim assist is so vibes based they can hit you through solid obstacles), cannot have any bots in your portal servers (which was advertised to be possible), portal servers are 30 tickrate.

I won't even dive into the skins and genderlocked classes debate, google will help you out on those.

Currently I would not purchase this game.

UPDATE after Season 1 start: None of the mentioned issues are fixed. I'm also missing out on the weekly challenge for the battlepass (10 pips, 1 tier basically) due to the challenge being tied to another game (REDSEC) that I'm not interested in. REALLY unhappy

Just don't buy it. The Tribes dream is dead. Only a small handful of players, developer said they stopped working on the game, hackers are running wild (you can turn down weapon speed inheritance in your settings). Don't be like me and buy before you read "It's Dead Jim" in community discussion.
