extremely overrated game carried by unwarranted hype. visibility is atrocious, maps are horrible, gamemodes are boring, and the gunplay is mediocre at best. the classic feel of previous successful battlefield games like 4 is completely nonexistent and instead we're left with an underwhelming, low-skill-ceiling imitation of cod. the people shilling this game are delusional and have clearly never played an actual decent battlefield-like game with skill expression such as delta force. if youre still interested in picking it up id recommend waiting for the game to inevitably go on sale after people take off the rose-tinted glasses and the playerbase plummets.

terrible for many reasons, but the long term sub-faction lock is easily one of the dumbest mechanics ive ever seen in a game

dont bother buying this game if youre looking for a remotely playable pvp experience- the only servers with players on them are either PVE roleplay servers or ones just riddled with hacking chinese players. devs dont care about fixing any core issues like the insane lag when playing with more than 50 people and would rather just spend months reworking an obsolete hunting and cooking system that nobody cares about or will use.

oh, can't forget about the state of the art loot rework that replaced every decent item with binoculars and military caps either.

Newest update is terrible.
No one aside from the kids trying to be "quirky" and "different" will defend this garbage patch. None of my weapons received nerfs but that doesnt make me have more fun than i did before. All these trash "balance" changes did were punish players who enjoyed the affected playstyles. Digital extremes somehow fails to realize that by pushing out these lazy, half-assed "balance" changes that only nerf weapons people like using lowers the total amount of fun the playerbase is having. Rather than thinking about why a weapon gets used frequently this garbage company just sees how often it gets used and correspondingly nerfs it into the ground. Its literally a casual pve horde shooter game with the option to turn solo play on, its not like the game gets more enjoyable for non meta players when meta gets nerfed/adjusted.

TLDR: By nerfing weapons and playstyles people enjoy using rather than thinking about why people use them and buffing others to compensate, DE just made the game less fun for certain players and did not make it more enjoyable for anyone. The net-enjoyment for the game has clearly decreased massively, thus the update is trash.
