I've played a lot of SRW games in my time, usually love them and play them this one ends up near the bottom. This game has changed the standard SRW system of going through missions in a row to picking which missions you want to play in the order you want. This lessens the story impacts of each levels as unless you are forced to play the next one the story breaks up. That big event that happened in the previous mission does not have an impact as you are now doing an unrelated level based on another anime.

As the game has switched to a new mission system the levelling as a result broke completely. Never in a SRW game have I come even close to max level. Halfway through this game every robot and character I used was max level, they eventually added an update to increase the level cap from 99 to 150. In this game the enemies levels are based on your highest level character in addition the game is way too generous on overpowered items. It still blows my mind there is an item that you can use that causes gain and fortune on every character. They've also switched it so gain only counts for kills.

The battle scenes are nice, I'll probably finish this game one day, in the meantime I've gone back to VTX and replayed them all instead of finishing 30.

Not a fan. Gameplay loop is rather boring. Having to use certain combos to defeat enemies over and over again. Not fun. And look giant overworld collecting. Points for Grendizer but not much else.
