This is the culmination of all Fromsofts games. It has learned all the good lessons from previous games, and used them to make a brilliant masterpiece.

Hunting is fun. Especially with friends.

Kingdoms of Amalur is the most basic of basic combat rpg's but does that well enough, with just enough engaging worldbuilding that I find myself compelled to finish it.

This is by far the best gameplay Borderlands has ever had. The skill trees are cool and impactful, the guns are great and the movement is so much smoother than previous entries in the series.

Too bad that is all tainted by an absolute trashfire of a story. The only bit that's alright is the treatment of Hammerlock and Jacobs.
Everyone else is an over the top parody of the characters they used to be, or completely impotent.
This is BEFORE (SPOILERS) mentioning the newly introduced character Ava. Her every action brings annoyance and death on everyone around her and at least some of those actions are physically impossible within the rules of the universe.
I hate her and every impact she had on the story.

The game is pretty grindy, but also pretty good. The context based movement does break down intermittently, but usually moving is very smooth.

I've not yet played much of the game, and there seems to be many systems for upgrades that I have yet to avail myself of. People shouldn't compate this game to dark souls beyond the basic structure of the game as the combat is much deeper and more nuanced than Dark Souls and Bloodborne have ever been.
