This is an old school grindy MMO, along the same lines of Wurm Online and Star Wars Galaxies. But, it has quite a bit of complexity and depth, which is nice. There aren't flashy skills though, like additions to shooting or other actions, it's just shooting... which can be a bummer, but I still find it fun. There are lots of in-game events (big and small), an absolutely wonderful community, and a lot of things that are missing from newer games. Combat and other professions are fairly simple in and of itself, but you can augment them in tons of different ways. There is also full loot PVP, but it's in very restricted zones and very easy to avoid.

Money in the game is based on real world money and you can deposit and withdraw money from the game. This turns MOST people off, but it shouldn't. It's technically F2P, but that's misleading. Don't spend much time with F2P, it's not what the game is and not a fun experience. When going into the game, treat it like a game you buy + a monthly sub while you gain skills. Set yourself a budget. It's not gambling, you will not make a living off this game. The starter packs are a great way to "buy" the game, the universal ammo that comes with it will work for hunting and mining.

Eventually things will start evening out if you play smart. The real money economy adds an interesting dynamic to the game, where efficiency with EVERYTHING is extremely important if you want to keep playing. How much are you spending on Ammo vs what you're looting? How much is the decay on your items?

Go into this one expecting a grindy, crafting-based sandbox with less focus on combat and a lot of depth. Wurm is an incredibly fun game if you’re into that kind of niche. It’s not for everyone, but if you love building and survival games that reward patience and planning, it’s absolutely worth your time.

Your first 4x4 house might take days, and a good ship could take weeks or even months, but every bit of progress feels earned. Quality matters here, and it shows in everything you build.

I played this about 12–15 years ago and recently came back. A lot of the YouTube videos are old and a lot has changed, but the core mechanics still hold up. The updates over the years have kept it fresh, and there’s still an active community across multiple servers.

If the pace feels too slow, Wurm Unlimited with mods might suit you better. This one’s the MMO; Wurm Unlimited is the player-run version.

As a new pilot, this is a fantastic simulator. It runs very well with low settings on my 2020 Mac Air, which is all I need.

I did have to buy a real RC controller, because it didn't have the settings to make a PS5 controller work like some other sims... but that was probably the better move in the long run. I bought a Radiomaster Pocket ELRS which should last me a while until I need something with more features.

This game is significantly better than Blood Bowl 3 for some reason. I'm not sure why they neglected the newer version so much, but this one is polish and very similar to the tabletop game. It's a blast to play.

Great graphics, great story, great gameplay. It's just a great game.

While I don't have a lot of time logged in this game, I spent a lot of time afterwards watching tutorials and reading developer documentation.

Sadly, I don't think this game lives up to my expectations of being something ultra-creative like Garry's Mod, Second Life, or Blue Mars. It feels very unpolished and honestly just unprofessional. It's world is also more tightly bound to GTA style than I thought before purchasing.

Don't download this game. It should be illegal along with other addictive drugs.

I was expecting Rust or Ark with EVE-like avatar that I could build and customize similar to Space Engineers.

It definitely was not any of those things. It's an Arcade Miner.

It's just a great mindless co-op shooter.

Just a great chill game to play with friends, especially if you like the unforgiving kind.
