Dune Awakening was fantastic for my first 200 hours. Chapter 1 and Hagga Basin were standout highlights, with great immersion and exploration.

Where it lost me was when progression required entering the Deep Desert for tier 6 resources. A game that felt 90% PvE suddenly forced players into PvP, opening the door to griefing and harassment that ruins the experience for solo players. It felt unfair that only tier 6 was locked behind PvP risk.

The good news is Funcom is listening and working to support both PvE and PvP playstyles. With the right adjustments, Dune Awakening still has the potential to thrive.
