Short and sweet while being surprisingly emotional. Characters and dialog feel realistic, the overlapping chat you can have between characters is a breath of fresh air compared to other games. The gameplay itself is very simple but that doesn't necessarily mean it's bad. Whenever it would go to a loading screen it would pull me out of the game a little bit as the music stops and the loading screens take a surprising amount of time considering how "basic" the game is. Also wish you could walk a little faster. Other than that it is a very unique, albeit short and simple experience.

Fun action game. I thought it would be a lot longer based on the completion percentage in the game but that includes all other optional stuff you can do. I finished the game with 60%. This made my perception of the pacing of the game quite off and honestly the pacing of the game was fine now that I know how the game ends/how long it took. The combat was fun, the enemies felt smart, the set pieces were great. Some of the parkour elements felt a bit off, in a few places I felt a bit lost and my god THE SHAKY CAM MADE ME WANT TO END IT ALL (product of the time). Definitely a fun action adventure game though and am excited to eventually play the second one when the itch comes!

Mixed feelings. When it worked well it felt amazing, you can pretty easily get into a flow state and it feels great. The story also seems somewhat interesting. I wasn't so happy when it dropped down to 20 fps for 10-20 seconds randomly (happened 3-6 times in less than an hour) and wouldn't parkour the directions I wanted to. Not to mention not being able to alt tab causing me to have to restart my pc a few times. The potential in this game is super high and can see why many people find it super fun but the technical problems didn't allow me to get into a groove. Dropped after 1.5 hours. Maybe I'd enjoy the sequel more.

Amazing survival horror game set in space. You get right into the action early, the variation of weapons is super fun and because of the limited amount of ammo it forces you to use every weapon. They all felt unique and were satisfying to use. The amount of resources given throughout the game is excellent. The visuals are fantastic, the voice acting and sound design are great/terrifying, the combat felt responsive and varied, the story is very fun to experience first hand (even though I knew one major spoiler). The final boss was a little meh, I wish you could see the direction you're facing on the mini map thingy and I feel as though there were too many places to save your game (not enough suspense). The best and most memorable parts of the game for me were when I saved 10+ minutes ago, had no healing items and little ammo. Just a fight for survival. One of my favorite horror games of all time, if not just one of my favorite games of all time. If it had a few small tweaks and a better final boss, I'd consider it a 10/10.

Depression through a game. I felt a lot more dread and depression playing this game compared to other survival horror games/game franchises like RE and Dead Space. It's just real and raw. Best story of any horror game I've played. It sucks you in without forcing it, very much so a slow burn. James is one of the best protagonists I've experienced. Love him or hate him, you can't deny he's well voiced, written and acted. Truly fantastic atmosphere. The sound design and music were a joy to hear (while also being scared ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥). Amazing voice acting and side characters. Great puzzles with the right amount of difficulty/tedium. The combat definitely felt a little repetitive at times and I generally felt a little too strong. I only died two times in my entire playthrough. Too much ammo and meds given to the player. If the gameplay was a little better/harder I could easily see this being a 10/10.
