Early Access Review
An ambitious game with great mechanics, a passionate online community, and the feeling that each time you log in, you're doing your small part to contribute to the war effort. It's the "butter fly" effect in action, each bullet, each vehicle, has to be manufactured and transported to the frontlines. This also causes you to be more cautious, as you don't want to blow up the tank that took you and your friends several hours to manufacture.

It is perhaps even more ambitious than ARMA at simulating logistics, while also being more accommodating to new players due to its top-down nature, requiring less tactile skill to succeed at.

Other pluses:
- no recurring subscription and the game isn't expensive (it goes for less than most games at retail)
- a dev team that continues to update and improve the game.
- not necessarily balanced all the time, but this is a plus in this regard: war isn't necessarily fair!

Cons:
- sometimes a toxic community, although the devs have addresses most of my concerns via quality of life updates and vehicle logs that make griefing/trolling in the game more difficult

Space Engineers is a magnificent game that I've had for quite a few years but neglected to leave a review. It has the creative charm of Minecraft with the quirky physics and rocket building fun of Kerbal Space Program all-in-one with functioning multiplayer, making it a fun online game to enjoy with your friends.

Keen provided numerous updates to this game and I'm glad to see it in a stable state with many of the features that the community requested.

Now, keep in mind many people leaving reviews for the game are review bombing it due to a statement that Keen Software House released regarding the invasion of Ukraine. It was well meaning, and humanized the struggles of both the Ukrainian and Russian peoples. It urged the Russian people to say no to the war and to stop the suffering. It was not offensive in any way. Marek Rosa is a great developer and a kind human being. Do your own research before believing the review bombs.
