We are condemned to be free!

At the time of this review, I'm roughly halfway through the remake. I've never played the original, so I won't be comparing them. The characters are cute and the voice acting (both Modern and Legacy) is top notch. The writing itself is fun, although a bit basic. The new visuals look great outside of a few visual bugs that are funny. The music is pleasant to listen to and fits every scene quite nicely.

While I'm enjoying it, there's a few little issues that make any run past the first a bit of a chore:
- Loading screens take forever. Not too annoying in between 5-10 minute scenes, but when you're skipping because Multi or Aoi don't show up for the first 10 days lengthens what should take 10 minutes to about 35.
- The walking segments are pointless, and should either be removed or have characters you can talk to for fluff dialogue. Giving us a 5 second walking segment just to look around a tiny area is a waste of time when you could just load the cutscene itself faster.
- A few more "high effort" scenes would have been nice. Not sure how many CGs the original had, but if they recreated all of them adding a few brand new ones would have gone the extra mile.

At the end of the day it's no Clannad, but I'm enjoying it for what it is. 20 bucks for a VN that grandfathered the industry with this many positive changes is an absolute steal.

not team fortress 2

Pretty cool game, but the name is a bit bland. Something like... "The Incredible, Unbelievable, Unstoppable Hero Who Was Unceremoniously Summoned into the Vast, Expansive, and Ever-Beautiful World of 100 Mind-Boggling Trials, Each More Impossibly Glorious Than the Last, Where Every Second Tick-Tock-Tick-TOCK of Time Echoes Like the Sweetest Symphony, Urging Them to Complete the Trials Before the Final Moment FADES AWAY, Like a Dream of Glorious Potential Lost to the Ages!" would probably be a bit better.

Because they're no mixed I'll tentatively give it a recommend, but It's a solid 6/10 at best. Very good music, the voice acting is pretty well done, and the atmosphere is sublime. The first ten minutes alone got me pumped with how well done everything came together.

But the characters aren't very interesting, the plot is a bit generic outside of the extremely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up bits, and all three endings were pretty unsatisfying. It's not a novel I'd ever be inclined to reread nor recommend to anyone outside of a very small, niche group who already knows exactly what they're going to get going in.
