This game is for you if you love the survival genre. It has everything a survival needs and takes advantage of the Dune universe to bring a way of surviving proper to Arrakis (the planet).
Worms, spice addiction, sandstorm, crafting and progression, it's quickly addictive and pleasant to play.
Don't expect it to be like rust/ark tho, but more like a PvE game with PvP system.
If you have a job and don't want to dedicate your life to the game, it is possible because the game allows you to build and store your ressources on PvE protected zones (no raid).
You will also have the possibility to make a base in the deep desert, where you can get raided during sandstorms and kill players on sight (or get killed).

If you love the Dune universe but are not familiar with the survival genre, then you should quickly take your marks and appreciate the planet, the NPC and storylines which are honestly far from bad !
The map is beautiful and through your progression you will discover new desert biomes and they won't be boring. They succeeded to make a beautiful desert, nice rocky canyons, vast sand seas, even if it is still desertic I personally have been stunned by the beauty of the game (3060 with ryzen 1700X and 32g ram I get constant 60fps with drops near 25 but still largely playable).

If you don't like to farm, gather ressources, explore, taking risks and are not willing to loose everything at any time, then the game won't please you.
Just note that only a worm or coriolis storm can make you loose ALL your stuff, most of the deaths are pretty forgiving.
