The game is solid. The story is a lot of fun. Definite sleeper game, doesn't deserve much hate.

Reason for a negative review? NO AUTOMATIC CLOUD SAVES (thanks to Ubisoft Connect). 70 hours, 100% achievement completion. New DLC comes out, I go to re-download the game, and find that my save files are all gone. This is a Ubisoft Connect issue, not a Steam one. Apparently, you have to manually push your save files into the cloud in the game. Unlike every other game you play on Steam, this one doesn't do that thanks to Ubisoft's BRILLIANT system. So now, I'm going to re-uninstall the game and ignore the DLC, and hope that any of you poor souls can avoid the same issue I am. If you upgrade to Windows 11 and didn't manually upload your save files to the cloud... byeeeeeeeee.

Really dumb, really unfortunate. Solid game, really wish Ubisoft just STOPPED trying to have their own launcher because it will never hold a candle to Steam's user-friendliness.

Just finished this up with 100% completion, and I have to say I really enjoyed this one. At first, I didn't really think it was for me, but I quickly became hooked on the combat, the story, the hidden quests, etc.

This isn't going to win GOTY. The combat combos are incredibly simple and repetitive. But I like the fact that anybody can pick this up and beat it. It's not Elden Ring - it's much more forgiving - but there are still some bosses in here that will take a few tries.

If you have a PC that can handle it - this game looks phenomenal on the highest settings. Definitely the best looking game I've played all year.

Give it a try.

Just picked this up on the Winter Sale, and as an avid 40k fan, I gotta say this game definitely nails the look and feel of the grim, dank future. Very fun game play, good progression system, lots of builds to choose from. Tons of fun with a friend.

I just 100%'ed this game after 46 hours and have a bit to say. First, the positives: This is an improvement in literally every way over Jedi Fallen Order. Graphics, gameplay, story, world - it was all incredible. Honestly one of my favorite pieces of Star Wars lore/story. I was fully invested from beginning to end, and there were 2 moments in the game that just floored me - one from the main story and one from a side quest. I'm glad I didn't spoil this for myself, and I'm glad I waited to buy it.

That being said, EA has NOT fixed this game's performance issues as of July 2023. I'm very thankful (and maybe lucky) that I did not have any game-breaking crashes or save file corruptions. Those were my 2 main concerns. I did, however, have a decent amount of "normal" crashes (probably 10 or so) between in-game and fast travel. Every time it froze, I definitely clinched my cheeks until I was able to successfully load back in. Frame rate was literally all over the place. I never got above 80, no matter how many settings I tweaked or messed around with. Most of the time was spent in the 30-45 range.

For reference, I have an RTX 3080, Ryzen 9 3900x, with a 2560x1440p monitor (with native G-Sync), and the game was installed on an NVME SSD. I played with Ray Tracing on, as it really looked phenomenal even if it did cost me a bit in performance. The game was definitely taxing on my system.

I still have to recommend this game, even with the potential issues, because the story and gameplay is THAT good. I loved it, I hope they continue with Cal's story, and I hope they don't release it on PC in such a sad state again.
