The bots are the result of a larger, systemic issue with Team Fortress 2. The game is free, it costs a pittance to get a premium account, Valve servers are completely unmoderated, and all but the biggest moderated community servers were killed by the Meet Your Match update. Valve doesn't like "treadmill problems", so mitigation is out of the question.

Bots will continue to exist as long as matchmaking exists, so there's only one "fix" left. Valve created this problem. They're perpetuating it, and they're profiting off of it. If you want to #FixTF2, then you have to #KillMatchmaking first.

Not into Duke Nukem 3D and other Build engine shooters? You might have a hard time with this one. Love DN3D, Shadow Warrior, and others of their kind? You're gonna love this.

Take the good with the bad, and you've got a flawed but fun whopper of a game, plus an expansion that actually improves on the package as a whole. Just keep in mind that this is a looooooooong game with tons of secrets and stuff to mess around with.

I'd like to get two things straight about Killer7.

1) The reviews are right. Not only is the original game an arthouse classic that'll leave you with as many questions as answers, it's also a fantastic port made with love and care, and nearly everything is intact. This is the best possible way to play Killer7 now.

2) It doesn't just run at 60 FPS. It runs at whatever your monitor's refresh rate is set to. Even up to 144Hz.

EDIT: Hahah. I almost forgot about this review I wrote five years ago. Yeah, that bit about the servers shutting down at the bottom? Turns out I was right.

Servers are officially, permanently, utterly dead. The game can no longer generate tracks without some significant work on part of the player--specifically, a library that allows the plyaer to the server locally, but I can't vouch for it.

I didn't have much with Riff Racer, but that doesn't mean I'm happy to see another dead game. It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ exhausting, man.

I've tried so hard to get a challenge out of this game. I've thrown the loudest, hardest, fastest stuff I have at it--speaker-breaking hard blues rock, insanely complex progressive epics, janky electronica, and more. Out of the dozens of songs I've given it, only around half have been granted the elusive three-star difficulty level.

I can count on one hand how many times I got a four-star difficulty song. I can count on one finger how many times I've seen a five-star. I'm not sure what kind of 450 BPM mind-numbing nightcore eurobeat ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this game wants, but I clearly don't have it.

There's a really fun game in here with the potential to be extremely challenging and very fun, with hints of Out Run and Trackmania all throughout, but the game is so conservative when generating tracks that if you're into anything less hyperactive than the Initial D soundtrack, you'll get pretty much nothing out of it.

Also important: when the servers go down, you can't play new tracks. The track generation functionality is tied to the FOAM Entertainment servers, preventing you from generating new tracks if they are down or you can't connect to the internet. If the servers were to go down permanently, the game will go with it.

CS:GO Review
This game has an incredibly high skill ceiling, higher than any other game I've played. That's to be commended.

Sadly, the floor is only about an inch below it.

In Oblivion, you are an assistant to the hero prophesied by the stars and the dream of a king, and go on to greatness as foretold. In Skyrim, you are a natural hero born with dragon blood and the innate ability to speak the language of dragons, and go on to greatness as foretold. In each game, along the way, you are seen as the savior of many guilds, groups, and towns, even if they are in conflict with each other in some way.

In Morrowind, you are placed in Vvardenfell by order of the Emperor because you match a supposed prophecy. With the Daedric prince Azura's assistance to enact her revenge, you're thrown into the position of fulfilling said prophecy under guidance from the Blades, and by going to the hard work of convincing everyone you really are the prophesied one. You don't know if you really fit the bill, but you'll be damned if everyone else won't believe it.

You climb your way up the ladder of each guild or ruling house you join, fighting your way to the top each time. It's a long, hard road through many cracked and broken pathways, but you clamber up the pile of corpses you made with One-Clan-Under-Moon-And-Star wrapped around your finger, and an ancient Dwemer hammer in your hand. You reap what you sow.

This is a sign of how different this game is from its successors and predecessors. A story which questions deification, worship, and prophecy; a world wracked by cataclysmic blight storms and the threat of a mortal-turned-insane-god; gameplay that greatly encourages a close eye to character building and leveling; and a plot which culminates in the death of gods and the destruction of that which deifies mortals. This is why Morrowind is so much different than its peers.

Is the gameplay to everyone's liking? Of course not. Those unexperienced with character building, and those without the patience to take in the world around you, won't find much to enjoy in this game. That's the key word. Patience. It's encouraged, and rewarded in spades. Don't play this game if you started at Oblivion or Skyrim. There's very little chance that you'll find this an enjoyable experience.

For those with the open mind and the patience, this is an incredibly worthy experience that will suck you in and never let you go. Play this only if you know how to manipulate chance and skill to your favor, and how to make your way through a harsh, unforgiving, and challenging world.

The Construction Kit is not included with this version.

There aren't many games as underappreciated as this one. A ton of fun with friends, granted they can cooperate with you for the duration of a campaign, and the modding capability of this game is absolutely insane. It's one of the last truly moddable Source games, in fact.

This raises an interesting question, though: Where the ♥♥♥♥ is the modding community for this game? You literally have a plop-and-run mapmaker in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game for testing layouts that allows you to import your own map pieces in VMF format, what's the deal? Get cracking on a campaign.

I just want to point out that the resolution setting is literally a plus button and a minus button. If that's not indicative of the problems this game has, I don't know what is. Fun, but impossible to play in anything but a tiny window.

As fun as this strategy game is, even if you do manage to fix the lag, audio stuttering still occurs, so there's not much you can do to really enjoy this game. Hope you have a PS2 or Xbox handy.
