Very well crafted detective game. The sense of urgency can feel a little lost at times, and there were moments where I figured out what was going on but I couldn't act on them because the protagonist didn't know, but aside from those few foibles it was a very enjoyable experience.

Devs want you to feel clever when you play this, has the Obra Dinn vibe of "get x puzzles correct and they are locked in" which feels good every time. Nice romp you can knock out in an evening or two.

It's more Hollow Knight while also being more than just "more Hollow Knight". Hornet plays very nimbly, the world is vast and easy to get lost in, and the enemies are challenging, 95% of my deaths were caused by trying to sneak in one more hit when I should be healing. Team Cherry have knocked it out of the park again.
