This has been a worthwhile follow up to the original so far.

I think the difficulty curb compared to the first is a bit higher. As soon as you reach the surface you'll see.

The new zones are nice, music is dope, art is great. The new weapons are pretty solid too although i did prefer the sword over the axe from the original.

The new characters are kinda hit or miss, the new gods designs go from really out there to WTF are you guys thinking. Probably the worst part of the game.

But if that's the only real negative then I'd say this is a gem whom had a monumental task of out doing the original. Probably a 9/10 for me.

I feel kind of torn trying to write a review for this. While it has its own merits unfortunately its going to be compared to P5 for probably eternity. The characters for the most part were fun and engaging. The story while kinda tropey was still pretty good. The voice acting was stellar. Combat was pretty good but in my opinion being able to farm enemies in the world map really negates encounters and made grinding a bit too easy and simple (I was guilty of doing this).

At the end of the day I'd probably have to give it a solid 8 and while it doesn't try to be the next Persona game unfortunately its going to live in its shadow.

I never thought something so stupid could be so addicting. I've opened more packs than I am proud to admit and this game has now become my screenshot simulator for when I pull high value cards. If you like dopamine hits give this a shot.

I have to wholeheartedly give this game a thumbs up. While launch was a little iffy for most (myself not included) this game has turned out to be what I wanted. Remnant 1 on steroids. Some of the cool stuff from the first has been broken apart and slapped into other areas so you aren't really missing anything you could do from the first to this. I am probably a minority here but I enjoyed the new class system as I like a fine tuned path toward what I want versus numerous options. But I have now gone through the new DLC, and the base game once and rerolled the worlds a few times and I am still finding new things. The game is huge and its nice breath of fresh air in a souls crowded world. I highly recommend this.
