EDIT: O banner já foi mudado faz um tempo. Antes que façam uma revisão histórica aí e digam que foi o banner que ajudou o jogo a popularizar... Não. Foram os clipes do jogo e os mascotes robôs e o fato que ele é bom. O banner antigo dificultava chamar pessoas pra jogar pois maioria não levava o negócio a sério pois parecia qualquer porcaria asset flip da Steam. Mas agora tá daora

Talvez eles estejam esperando o banner do jogo deixar de ser 'O Pior Banner Possível que Poderiam ter Escolhido' e passar a ser 'Ironicamente Engraçado'.

Enquanto isso não acontece, posso dizer que esse banner é o pior banner possível que poderiam ter escolhido.

Tower Defense games are usually not my cup of tea, but Thronefall is by far my favorite of the genre :)

Maybe it's because I like RTSs? Maybe the way you and your enemies move freely allowing for some interesting strategies like luring enemies away from your defenses? Or maybe the cute colors and cool music.

Yea yea, all of this. But the challenges are what is making me replay this game so much. There are plenty of perks, weapons, buffs and debuffs that lenghten the experience. Finding what kills that absurdly powerful boss the fastest is like a puzzle I'm up to solve.

Also here's a tip: Be a tank. You're important. Don't fall by enemy archers, fall by eldritch gods annoyed of you blocking their way.

I wasn't positive about the remake when I first watched the trailers. There were a few off putting things that, knowing what makes Silent Hill 2 special, would hinder the experience by a lot. They fixed some of those things, although the camera is here to stay, sure. For me that likes and appreciate the goal of using fixed cameras and crazy nauseating angles in silent hill games, it's a big downside. BUT-

It's so different and with so many good additions that... It doesn't matter as much as I thought it would do. It's a proper remake, a reimagination that understands it's different and enjoys playing around with that. There are great setpieces that are actually handed really well and can give new perspectives, and so much stuff has been changed and moved around that the experience is great even if you know the original by heart. The characters are treated with a lot of respect, with gut wrenching lines and deliveries. It hits hard, as expected.

It's Silent Hill. A modern version of it with camera over the shoulders, made by Bloober Team of all people. I'm SO glad it turned out to be this great.
