I’d been seeing this game everywhere after Arc Raiders, and with just 2 hours of playtime so far, I can say I’m generally liking it. As someone who loves Destiny, the game features classic Bungie gunplay, a striking art style, and really good sound design—I think they’ve done a great job. If you’re a fan of extraction shooters, it’s definitely worth a look. I’m not sure what the future holds for the game, but I really hope Bungie doesn't disappoint us...

The music, and especially the physics-based combat feel awesome. The hits have a real weight to them. The story is just a standard "super-powered hitman" cliché, but the gameplay is fun enough that you won't care. It's worth the price if you’re into Hotline Miami-style top-down action!

Horizon Zero Dawn feels like a new benchmark for open world games. The combat is all about planning and creativity. You can set traps, turn machines against each other, sneak around, or just go in loud if you feel brave. The game never rushes you. It gives you the tools and lets you decide how smart or chaotic you want to be. This alone makes the experience stand out.

The story also respects the player. Nobody spoon-feeds you the plot. You explore, gather clues, connect the dots and uncover the world’s history on your own. It makes the world feel alive and worth digging into.

Frozen Wilds pushes everything even further. Better animations, more personality in conversations, a snowy region that actually feels real, great music and some seriously tough new machines. It’s a tight, polished expansion that adds real value.

If you want an open world game with depth, smart combat and a world that rewards curiosity, this is an easy recommendation!

I’ve been playing this game actively since 2020 and I’m sitting at almost 7000 hours. Has it improved over its 10-year development cycle? Yes, but the progress is so small it might as well be decaying in place.

For anyone thinking about buying the game today: it is still packed with decade-old bugs they refuse to fix, ridiculous server issues, and the same problems you could see in today’s release, where nobody could even log in for hours. Ten years of development and these basic/expected issues still persist.

And yet, I’ll keep playing. Because in my opinion, Tarkov is still the best game in its genre. No other extraction shooter even comes close in terms of gameplay, immersion, or intensity.

But as long as Nikita keeps collecting money while delivering a broken product, the future of this game does not look good. Incredible concept, amazing potential, terrible management.

Still my favorite disaster of a game.
