Warner Brothers seems to have gotten the memo about taking your time with precious properties, as Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is a game that rightfully achieves a place in J. R. R. Tolkien's massive universe. Combat is ace (works well with KB+M!), cut-scenes are rich in detail (the voice acting is STELLAR, not one voice feels out of place) and the great PC port allows monster rigs to utilise their full potential (the detail on objects such as the main characters sword is insane). I'm not the hugest and most prominent fan of LoTR + The Hobbit, but the game stands as it's own entity so well that I don't really need the source material to enjoy it. The sheer amount of personalised gameplay that the nemesis system adds something I can't stress enough, with genuine rivalry and hatred being conjured due to those pesky Uruk's killing you over and over and over (this game brings out the worst in your, you were warned). Pick this up if you're looking for a solid third-person action-adventure game with the most addictive combat imaginable.

Cool game, but....

Ever since the release of Halo 3 in 2007, the wonder of its beauty has never left my conscious. From the excellent campaign, the brilliant multiplayer and the revolutionary Forge, the fun never seemed to end. Thousands upon thousands of hours have been lost due to Custom Games alone, a true testament to a fantastic game. Friends would gather for hours on end to discover never-before-seen maps and game types and have an absolute fantastic time while doing so, inspiring some to make their own. Even at the age of 4 years old, Halo 3 still retained a large fan base of hundreds of thousands, something not many video games today can say. Friends and I alike adored the game and worshipped it for its seemingly never-ending fun.

But now, trouble has disrupted the balance. Thousands of players seek new homes in other video games, they seemingly prefer these new homes as they offer things no other video game does. They seem blind to the fact that Halo 3 is the holy grail of entertainment, and they ignore our pleas. But with your help, 343i, we can restore balance. Most past Halo 3 players reside in the lands of the Personal Computer now and regularly play their video games on Valve Software’s Steam. Halo 3 can find a new home here, a home with VAC protection, The Workshop and Steam Groups. I am not alone in this plight, for thousands of other Steam users beg of Halo 3 to spread its powerful wings on the Personal Computer. Please, 343i, let these fond memories become present excitements and release Halo 3 on Steam as soon as humanly possible.

Sincerely,

Mobert Ritchell

Planetside 2's large battles are intimidating at first, but they quickly become epic and extraordinarily fun. Seeing dozens of planes taking flight above a battleground and a dozen more tanks join them is simply amazing, and this happens often! On the free-to-play side of things, the game doesn't seem pay-to-win ENTIRELY, but being able to buy anything that isn't just apparel is a big no in my books, and Planetside 2 commits this sin. The game looks great (especially at night!) so be prepared to stress your graphics card! If you have a few buddies to play alongside with you, go for it.

Countless hours have been lost way into the night due to Garry's Mod, and i'm still finding enjoyment from playing it. Garry Newman may have made the base game, but without the wonderful community of creators, Garry's Mod would be nothing. An absolute blast with friends (I recommend Trouble In Terrorist Town for the most laughs), and a general meaty package of worth-while content.

Is it the feeling of being the dark knight? Is it the meaty combat system? Is it the excellent characters and their excellent voice actors? Is it gliding around Arkham City? It's all of these, and it's sublime the way it all glues together.

I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Rouge Legacy mixes difficulty and exploration so well, it's quite amazing actually. I constantly have the feeling of "Just one more run!". Of course, this "one" run turns into several.

CS:GO Review
CS:GO is the latest entry into the Counter Strike franchise, and a worthy one at that. Guns feel and sound powerful, classic maps mixed in with the new spice things up a little, and it's oh-so rewarding when you finally master that gun you've been trying so hard to get more equipped with. Pick it up if you're looking for a challenging-but-rewarding multiplayer shooter.

Fallout has one of the more interesting settings in the video game spectrum. With fun exploration, diverse characters (with great voice actors) and fun gameplay to boot. Exploring the wasteland has never been so rewarding, with almost every location you find being unique and exciting to explore. Who knows what's in that cave? Could be nothing, but it also could be a special something. This is the backbone of the Fallout series' exploration, and Obsidian have nailed it. The gameplay is fun, but can become repetitive (especially V.A.T's, as it can make the game a tad too easy at portions of the game.) Pick this up if you want a very exciting open world to explore, and if you simply wanna shoot some mutants in the face, because who doesn't love that?
