I find Starbound to be the stickiest open-world building/exploration game I've played. The aesthetic is spot-on, the gameplay accessible, and the multiplayer a perfect opportunity for ridiculously massive building projects.

I have zero tolerance for the casual ridiculing of women that pervades video games. I'm certain that I'd be told the flavor text for Brittany, Beach Princess's upgrades* is "just a joke" or even that it's "satire," but I find the sort of joke that reinforces stereotypical and demeaning views of women to be reprehensible.

And if that doesn't put you off the game, my review is this: If I wanted to play Cookie Clicker, I'd play Cookie Clicker.

* The flavor text for her upgrade (which is titled 'Combat Makeup') reads, "You doubt she'll use it for camouflage like she's supposed to. In fact, she probably doesn't even know what 'camouflage' means."
