Like many have said, FM 26 makes you realise how great this game is. Just wanted this, with a few more interactivity options in press conferences and player interactions, and the new game engine. Instead we got whatever FM 26 is.

Hate to say it as someone who’s been playing since CM93, but this is easily the worst FM/CM release I’ve played. It feels like they stripped out the depth and data for a more “streamlined” experience, but in doing so, ripped out the soul of the game.

Yeah, it’s got bugs, hell every launch does, but this goes deeper. The interface is clunky, constantly sending you in and out of menus just to find basic info. Even simple stuff like checking a sub’s stats mid‑match is a pain. There’s way less data overall, and what’s there is harder to access. It feels built for console players but sold to PC fans, and console fans feel its made for PC players, like it doesn’t know what it wants to be.

The “instant result” button says it all to me, a quick way to skip actually playing the game. Press conferences are the same bs questions and answers as before, regen faces look bad, and the UI feels weirdly laggy even on high-end systems. The whole thing just feels soulless and half‑baked.

They’ve spent two years on this new engine, and sure, the graphics are slightly better, but the trade‑off isn’t worth it. The immersion’s gone, and the addictiveness that made these games special is completely missing.

I really tried to like it, but it’s dull, awkward, and feels like it was made by a team that’s never played their own series. If you’re curious, try it for an hour, but honestly.. refund it and stick with FM24. Way better game, way more heart. This one’s a total miss.

Verdict: 2/10 - A lifeless mess that forgets why people fell in love with Football Manager in the first place.

Not sure what they did with Skate, but this feels like a disney skate game. No soul at all. Fun to roll around in for free, but the game generally is throwaway garbage.

Decent game with friends but gets boring fast. You basically go around a few levels that are randomly generated and pick up items whilst fending off/avoiding goofy looking monsters. Nice for a few hours but there's only so long I can do the same thing over and over again. Will recommend it because there's not many games that do it this well, but it just needs so much more.

Great game all round pretty much, when it doesn't crash when looking at the quest list, which it does about 60% of the time.

Not a bad game at first, but after a short while (say 7 hours in) you realise it becomes a monotonous grind. For example you make so much food for customers like meat and soup, you make some money and improve your inn a bit. But then after giving you 2 tasks to do and you grinding them for 2 or 3 in game days, it just gives you yet another task which is serving the same type of food 60 times even though you just served it probably a couple hundred times already. This feels too much like the game is making you grind boring stuff to get to the next upgrade, and doesn't tell you until you complete a task, then it just gives you another one. Its at this point I just quit the game through sheer boredom.

I will also add that I really like these types of games usually and always wanted to play some kind of first person tavern manager. However giving us a set of tasks to aim for, only to then give us a bunch more to do after we have finished them (usually even grindier) feels too filler. I understand the devs are padding out some of the game but I do not think you need to do it this way as its frustrating knowing you have to spend another 1 or 2 hours minimum to do the next hidden set of tasks. And who knows, maybe more tasks after that before we upgrade! Also the 'helpers' will sometimes just stop working completely, making them kind of pointless some of the time.
