this game will suck you in and spit you back out with a shiny new coat of gunk-infused paint. normalize crashing the stock market

while the game starts good, it's mostly downhill from there. the later chambers become needlessly complex, the wheatley-ripoff guide is infuriating to listen to, and the mechanics are so janky at times it's a pain to play. couldn't even bring myself to finish the game.

this game is honestly a masterpiece through and through.
chapter one, while short, does an excellent job of building tension within the empty, looping woods and the disheveled house.
chapter two is, in my opinion, the weakest in terms of exploration. unless you're going for the secrets, the game basically forces you along the straight and narrow path.
chapter three is f*cking insane. the soundtrack is excellent, the demons are horrifying, the lore is a treat to unpack.

i strongly recommend playing this game, even if you aren't into horror games. i was deathly terrified of them when i got the game, if i'm being honest, as i couldn't handle the feeling of being watched or followed. this is definitely a positive, though, and serves to show how effective the game's subtle (and not so subtle) spooks can be.

edit: coming back after 100% completing the game. i don't play many games through like i've played this one, and i fully plan on doing it all over again. good stuff.

Pretty neat game, though drawings do take a while. Good for a timewaster game if you're bored.
9/10, pretty cool.
