Buggy but really fun puzzles and combat

Absolute masterpiece that deserves the time of day for any horror enthusiast. A retelling of a horror gaming classic that also added, iterated and expanded an already beloved story, which was treated with the respect it deserved.

The passion can be felt everywhere, in the actors performance, the music and ambiance, the care with which Silent Hill and its environments where treated can be felt at literally every corner.

Boss fights have been drastically improved and combat felt satisfying enough to carry through a ~20 hours first playthrough.
The pacing and the cut-scenes have also been been remade with love and care for the source material and have added a new dimension to the story and performance delivered by the actors.

A return to form and hopefully this will mark a return for the series in either subsequent remakes of the original Team Silent games or new titles in the franchise.

14 years and the Cheeki still Breeki

DayZ is an experience that few games can emulate or even recreate. It is this mix of pseudo-reality mechanics blending into the survival gameplay loop and encounters, but not at the level as other contenders like Project Zomboid.

The game consists mostly 90% walking, looting and inventory management with the occasional zombie fights. This chunk is one of the most relaxing experiences I ever had the pleasure of experiencing in a video game, it has that same quality as Skyrim's open world atmosphere which makes it hard to say no to. The other 10% is just pure adrenaline rush during rare fire fights, wild animal encounters, zombie horde or just surviving and struggling to make it out.

Also as a beginner's tip don't restart your character if you get in a tough predicament, just try to survive as much as possible as it's going to make the difference later with the experience you gained. Also try not to shoot on sight and engage with other players, they might be hostile or friendly, otherwise it will make for a unique feeling every time. There are also a ton of different flavors of modded servers and modes so have at it and good luck on the path.
