Even though I’ve had the opportunity to play competitively with some of the best teams in the world, am a moderator on one of the major German Squad servers, and a co-organizer of one of the last big Squad events, I unfortunately cannot recommend the game at the moment. The ICO has taken a lot of the fun out of my gameplay. Currently, there's simply too little emphasis on tactics and skill in firefights. It feels more like luck and wild shooting, and that's just not what Squad should be like. A few ideas from the ICO update were good - no question. But the result is unfortunately very poor, and this has also significantly affected the quality of the community (both nationally and internationally). That's really unfortunate! OWI, please listen more to your community!! Comp is still somewhat playable thanks to the community and various mods... but public has gone wild.
