My expectations were low, but I honestly really enjoyed the story and gameplay. This is a fun, narrative driven game that knows what it wants to be and executes it well. 8/10

Definitely unique. I've never played anything quite like it. Big reccomendation if you enjoy card based rougelikes.

I don't like JRPGs normally, but as someone who has come to love the Yakuza franchise I decided to give this one a go. I don't regret it at all.
From a campy but touching story, a lovable main character and supporting characters, and enjoyable gameplay, this game ticks all of the boxes of the previous yakuza series while branching out into something completely new.
I'll be waiting for Ichiban Kasuga's next adventure.

Boss fights had a tendency to be annoying, not in difficulty but in the repeated stun lock combos.
Otherwise an amazingly fun game with tons to do outside of the story.

That was the first time in a long time that I've played a platformer start to finish. What a charming and challenging game. Probably a 9/10, only not perfect because I had a lot of bugs.
