Game looks like a mushroom at 50fps on an RTX3090. Please fix

EDIT: Now the game looks good, although I had to tweak the settings because the default ones didn't help. With the latest Fujimi kaido track, game's been enjoyable ! Can use my sim racing setup fine now, thanks to the updates the devs made.

In its current state, I am unable to honestly recommend this game to any new players.
However, to old players, it's a nostalgia trip that's worth the time.

I spent thousands of hours on this game's previous versions(Microvolts Surge & Toy Heroes) so I guess I can have a good overview of the "situation" with this game

Here's why I wouldn't recommend this game
  1. The game looks old, hasn't had any graphic update whatsoever since 2011 and doesn't offer compatibility with large resolutions. With my 32'' screen, I am reduced to playing on windowed 1080p.
  2. It released with some important features missing like Clans(clan wars or commonly called "cw" in the game) and trade
  3. It has some visual bugs in the interface, when you equip an item, it stays in the inventory while being equipped
  4. There are no servers for new players. They are stuck playing with people that play this game for 10+ years with thousands of hours.
  5. The number of players is dwindling again. I don't think this version of the game will last for much longer than the others. It's originality is gone, the main players are older and spend less time on the game and the game relies on nostalgia to build a community that's dying fast.
  6. The leveling system looks like it has been taken from a mobile game. The 100 first levels are basically "given" to you. The new levels don't look good and it doesn't feel rewarding to level up.

Although I don't view the game in a good light for most part, there are still many good things this version of the game does.

Positive feedback from this version of the game
  • Gameplay-wise, the game has taken an interesting approach to set all weapon's and clothes/armor stats equally which balances out the game quite well for all game types.
  • They added a "replay" feature to watch previous matches. In today's standards, it's a must for any online shooters
  • No more temporary items(1day, 7day & 30days). Old Microvolts versions had a bad habit of setting expiry for most items which gave "unlimited" items a much more valuable look

Conclusion
Despite some new changes that are great, I will give this game another 1.5-2 years before it closes again if it doesn't inovate, gets a graphic update and gets a lot of marketing to keep the game alive.

I am yet to get back the car I lost because the save got messed up.

3 hours of painful grinding(boring super jumps that is),went to the dust thanks to EA's messed up saves.

EA support is as helpful as a support shouldn't be. "Yes we are aware of the issue, please follow the news and the issue will get fixed by itself". It's been 2 months and no news. I have an achievement to prove I have unlocked the car but the support says the same thing and won't budge to help.

In short: go frick yourself

Other than that the game is pretty good. Doesn't justify poor support when you pay freaking 80 bucks for a game

My favorite(aside from Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2) of all the games on PS2.

I'm so glad this game got ported on steam so I can enjoy the remote play feature that allows me to play on the same screen with some friends without being physically there.

I really hope they port the 2nd game which is my favorite of the two.

One of the most sought after DLC of all times.
After getting this, I felt like I could do anything I wanted if I put my mind... and money into it.

Don't miss the full cuckhold experience and get yourself this DLC.
