Boring and cliche, one giant QTE-fest.

I hated this when I first played it, but I grew to love it. It's a completely different game now, I'll keep playing until Payday 3 comes out.

First thing I did in this game was drop all of my bullets, next thing I did was cry.

You'll probably hear this compared to Metal Slug a bunch, but the only similarities are it's a side-scrolling shooter. Maybe the comparisons come from how good the game looks, sounds and plays. It's a lot of fun. There's a really cool gun customisation system where you pick and choose parts from a heap of different weapons, all with their pros and cons, leaving you with so many options for how you want to kill things. As I mentioned before, the game looks awesome, the sprites and animations are great, The music is so damned catchy, and the controls are solid, controlling your character just feels good.
It's in early access at the moment, so it's still missing about 40 out of the 100 missions it's supposed to have, so keep an eye out for when it's released.

Oh yeah, it's 4 player co-op, 4 player online AND splitscreen, and both work really well, and it's definitely a lot more fun with more people.

I know what you're thinking, "Divekick? That game sounds stupid and super lame!". Well shut up! You'd be wrong. There may only two buttons, Dive and Kick, but that doesn't make this game simple at all. Unlike most other fighting games, one hit and it's over, so matches can be quite intense, dodging divekicks while waiting for the perfect moment to divekick yourself, not divekick yourself, divekick the other guy yourself.
The character selection is good, they are all amusing and feel unique to control each with their own special moves.
So yeah, get it, or don't, but do, do it.

I only just bought this and I'm highly recommending it, it's fun and funny, looks and sounds great, grab the demo if you don't believe me.
