I love this game and have 1700+ hours dedicated to this second life. This is a 1 to 1 simulation of the Milky Way with a complex trade and politics mechanics mixed in. This game is fairly complex at first glance but once you get your flight controls mastered and spend a few hours browsing subreddits and "how to elite dangerous" on youtube. You begin your journey into the inky darkness. The first system you enter you are greeted with the o7 saulute in your comms and you are ripped out of supercruise. Your ship is taking tons of damage and spining out of control in deep space. With each rotation of your ship you get a glance of the ship attacking you, It is a BadA looking ship lighting you up, you explode and die. You spawn back in the starter system. You are super angry and this is where you either quit the game forever or you seek revenge on the player that killed you. This is where you write your story...
