10/10, would let pre-engine fix Karlach crush my balls.

The game looks pretty, bosses have cool animations and effects. Plenty of quality of life upgrades compared to POE1.
But that's about it. Movement feels slow and just bad in general. Enemies are as or even faster than your character and you have no movement gems anymore. You have to kill every. Single. Enemy. Or you get overrun, cornered and body blocked. I'd be fine with this, if there was a good reason to. All you get is a little bit of xp, loot is basically non-existent.
Bosses are not fun to fight, the whole loop is just hit once, dodge repeat. If you're unlucky you also get oneshot and can restart the whole fight. GGG looked at souls-like and decided to implement the by far the worst mechanics (dodge, attack once repeat). Not to mention you don't get much of a reward for them either. Melee is basically unplayable for the reasons mentioned above.
It has a lot of potential and I hope it gets better when it fully releases, but in the current state I can't recommend it. It is a waste of your money unless you like this type of gameplay.

Literally 0 reason why the singleplayer should be online only on the consumer's side, not to mention it has a kernel-level anti-cheat. Companies claim to "respect your privacy", yet Ricochet had a bug where a message (outside the game) containing certain memory signatures such as "triggerbot" could get your account banned. This was because the anti-cheat didn't only check a certain part of your memory like it's supposed to. You're trusting companies with the security of your system (which most likely contains very sensitive information of you) when they're making mistakes like this. Why? You still encounter cheaters don't you?
You don't have to buy/play every year's new slop. Stop supporting anti-consumer companies.

"Sorry but if we can't install a rootkit on your system we can't allow you to play the game."

Do not trust companies with running kernel level code on your machine. Literally no reason for a rally game to have kernel level anti-cheat.
