What is the point of the game you ask? Well gambling of course.

What a breath of fresh air, I was gutted when the August release date was pushed back to "Q4 2024" and playing the demo only makes me more gutted because I had so much fun in just the short time we had. After the first play-through,I just ignored the first objective and drove round to explore the city for a potential at what is to come! Hopefully they can fix the bugs found in the demo and release it soon as we are in Q4!

Once Human combines a lot of different game genres together, and in my personal opinion, it just works. The story is confusing and not really something you pay something to, so if you're looking for a good story, look elsewhere as it is not here. Personally I really enjoy the gameplay loop, the enemy designs, exploration, the setting, side quests and the building system even if is clunky and frustrating at times. The game isn't very hard, and generally feels very chill to play, though I hope updates in the future will bring up the difficulty for those that want the challenge. The movement and melee isn't by any means perfect and could use a lot more polish but it never bothered me much and the gunplay feels good. There is a lot of menus which can be overwhelming but you get used to it, but certainly something that could be simplified. However, the biggest surprise (given the games publisher NetEase) is that there is ZERO pay to win, only cosmetics can be purchased, though of course this could always change in the future however Starry Studios are adamant this won't happen, so only time will tell. The game is free, if it's not for you, then it's not for you, and if it is, then great! You can tell the developers really are passionate for the game and care about community feedback, it has a great foundation and surely has a promising future ahead.

The biggest negative feedback about the game from others has come down to data collection, spyware/crypto miners and seasonal wipes. The claims of excessive data collection and false stories of the game being spyware and being a crypto miner, are completely blown out of proportion, and doing just a little bit of research should put your mind at ease. The 2 suspicious files found in the start-up and registry should be in the game registry but were mistakenly placed in the start-up registry and is an analytic software by AppsFlyer: The two registry files are: "AF_counter" which simply counts how many times you've launched the game and "AF_uuid" is a randomly assigned string for your PC. In regards to the data collection, you need to read other online games EULAs because it is not much different to those other games, it doesn't collect most of the scary stuff unless you are in certain countries or you physically provide it and a majority of players will never give this information up. Seasonal wipes are of course concerning for many, but it is mostly a soft wipe and you do retain a lot, however I do think 6 weeks is too short, and I think 8-12 weeks would be more appropriate.

This is not an open-world game or survival game. This is an extraction-based shooter. It's basically the Division and Tarkov combined. It has good potential as an extraction-based shooter but has zero foundations for an open-world or survival game.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME IF YOU DON'T LIKE EXTRACTION-BASED SHOOTERS!

This a great sequel to the MW (2019) game. When the game works with no bugs and doesn't crash, it's some of the most fun I've had in a cod game in a very long time however the crashes and bug do ruin it at times. I can sometimes goes hours without a single issue but then sometimes I can have nothing but issues. But regardless once all the bugs and crashes are fixed, it'll be near perfect sequel and would be one of the best games of the year so far. Very excited to see what Season 1 and Warzone 2.0 has to offer in the coming weeks/months.

Not heard this much racism since MW2

It's been awhile since a game has sucked me in so quickly and gave me so much joy. There is so much to do and what's amazing, this is only Early Access! There are a few issues here and there, performance can take a hit when you are building lots in an area but these are going to improved and fixed in future patches! The roadmap has a lot of promise for the year and can't wait to see what the first major patch has to offer to the building mechanics!
