So I have around 300 hours on the Arena Net launcher.

I can't recommend this game. It's very mid tier compared to the other top MMO's out there. They do some things right, like the open world and meta events, but everything else falls flat. You can't skip the story. I stopped at Icebrood Saga because of how boring the story is. The game also does a very poor job at explaining things, so you'll be spending 75 percent of your time in the wiki reading up on how to do things, or maybe watching YouTube videos on how to do them.

Pros:
- Best mount system in the MMO space, possibly the gaming space.
- Open world is unmatched, maybe Elder Scrolls Online competes with the open world element, but because of how good the mount system is, GW2 edges it out.
- World Versus World can be fun for a while to turn your brain off and unlock some rewards, but that's about it.
- Some of the outfits are nice....
- Gem shop incentivizes you to play and use gold to unlock cash items.

Cons:
- Really boring story. I think Path of Fire and Living Story season 4 were good, but I had to stop at Icebrood Saga because of how dull everything was. If there was a skip option for the story, I would probably have beaten the final expansion (and bought it).
- PvP is sorta dead.
- Some of the outfits are nice....but they are really flashy compared to other MMOs. FFXIV and WoW really have the glam/transmog system down.
- Terrible job of explaining how to do things to actually progress and unlock things (like most mmos).
- Spending most of your time on YouTube or a wiki is NOT a valid way of playing a game. I want to be immersed in the game 90 percent of the time.
- Boss fights are very subpar. Try a raid in GW2, then go try a raid in ESO/FFXIV/WoW. It's night and day how bad GW2 is at raid/boss fights.

Overall, you can give this game a try. If you like it, play casually. Don't get too invested.

This game and Elden Ring are the two best games in the 2020's I've played so far. Give Wukong a try, it's like Dark Souls and God of War combined!

Besides some glitches, 10/10 game with a 10/10 soundtrack. Can't wait until their next project!

This, RE4 Remake, RE2 Remake and RE7 are all must plays. Also, play RE1 Remake.

Resident Evil is currently one of the best single player franchises out there.

This is the DEFINITIVE modern Final Fantasy experience, as well as the best JRPG experience you can play to date. This is the best Final Fantasy game since 10, and probably the best JRPG in the past 10 years alongside Persona 5, Metaphor, Xenoblade Chronicles Trilogy and Dragon Quest XI. Take note, Final Fantasy Rebirth and Remake have a MUCH higher budget than all other JRPGs combined, so it makes sense that Square went all out on this. This is possibly Square's Swan Song, but it does have it's cons from being "perfect." Spoiler Free, read below:

Pros:

- Improvements over Remake. It takes the remake formula and makes it MUCH bigger and better.
- All characters are usable in party situations, which is rare for JRPGs to achieve. DON'T play this is turned based mode, this is meant to be played real time. USE your shortcuts and synergy abilities.
- Graphics are not perfect, but the characters, art and landscapes are beautiful.
- Best music in a video game, period. Square went all out on this one, and I can't wait to hear what they produce in Part 3. Definitley Square's magnum opus of their OST library.
- Moments in the story capture emotions perfectly. Prepare to get your tissues for tears.
- Golden Saucer & most minigames are worth playing to get the rewards.
- Lots of content, I'm only half way through as of the review.

Cons:
- Lots of filler compared to the original, but it's there for content.
- Combat doesn't start to pick up until around Chapter 4-5.
- Lots of graphical pop-ins when in open world mode.
- Some of the side-quests are ridiculously boring, and I'm not sure if the rewards are worth it for some players unless you're a completionist like myself.
- Goofy story moments sorta mess up the pacing, but it adds a good mixture of humor and seriousness. It can get a bit too "humorous" at times, but that's part of the fan service.

Overall, this game is a 9.5/10. I put it in the top ten single player games along some others such as Elden Ring, Persona 5, Metaphor, Witcher 3 Wild Hunt & more. Lots of content to be explored here, and it should keep you busy for 100 hours, possibly around 140-150 if you decide to do NG+ in hard mode.

This along with FF13 are the only mainline FF games I recommend against. If you are a super casual gamer looking to watch and play an interactive movie, this might be for you.

The story is good when there are emotional highs otherwise it's boring.

Best modern JRPG I've played in years alongside the likes of Triple A games like FF7R, Persona 4 & Xenoblade Chronicles

The Definitive JRPG that set the standard of all JRPGs to come in terms of Music, Production, Art and Voice Acting. I don't think anything will come close to games like Final Fantasy.

YES I recommend this game.

I played through route a and b, but honestly unless you REALLY love the game, just watch the different cut scenes for routes C, D & E on YouTube. This game has super outdated gameplay loops and designs to replay more than 2 times. After the 2nd time I was burnt. Route E ending is so worth it though, and it ties into the NieR Automata story.

NieR Automata is a wayyyy better game. Both games have equally good music. Replicant has a slightly better story/character cast. As mentioned above, you can decide whether or not you want to put in the extra 10-15 hours to get only maybe an hour of extra dialogue and cut-scenes. Playing through Routes A & B is worth it, though.

Very much the best Resident Evil game I ever played. Combines a good mix of action combat and survival horror. A game you don't want to miss!
