I'm surprised at this not having a higher rating. It's a brilliant puzzle game with a range of puzzles and a completionist and XP-gaining aspect that scratch that itch and release a wave of dopamine with every puzzle completed. Honestly an amazing game and I would highly recommend giving it a try.

I saw the mixed reviews and almost didn't bother playing, but am so happy I did. I've sunk 17 hours into one session and don't want to stop playing.

I really don't understand where all of the bad feedback has come from, other than the lack of 'MMO' functionality. It's definitely more of a single player MMO, but I think it works extremely well. There is a satisfying feeling of constant progression. It's nice to come across people when you're out and about and it makes the world feel alive. The characters all have their own distinct personalities and I've grown to enjoy speaking to them - they never repeat the same lines and there's always something new.

It's a fantastic mix of Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, Dinkum, Arcadius, My Time At Portia/Sandrock, and Final Fantasy. Gathering and mining feel satisfying without a stamina and weight system. It truly feels like a game where you're free to do what you want at your own pace. It does have the MMO grindy aspect to it, but not enough to be off-putting.

I would have happily paid £20 for this game. I have read complaints about how expensive the outfits are, but considering this is a free game that very clearly has passionate and skilled developers (side note: the art style is amazing and done extremely well), they really cannot complain. There is plenty of customisation without needing to pay.

On a final note, the game is still in open beta. During this time I have only encountered two bugs but they have only happened infrequently and required either restarting the game or switching to a pickaxe and then back to a fishing rod. It's an amazing experience and if you're considering playing but are put off by the mixed reviews, I would strongly recommend giving it a try - you might be pleasantly surprised.

Early Access Review
Animal Crossing but on PC and much better. Now I don't need to buy a Nintendo Switch to play the game I've been wanting to play again since being addicted on the DS Lite! Highly recommend.
