This is a cute little Metroidvania, tightly designed, and doesn't take terribly long to finish. It's worth a look.

Very simplistic cozy potion-making game with cute art. All of that is fine, but I am extremely tired of games being listed as playable on Steam deck when they very much are not. Seriously, it's not playable without mouse/keyboard.

Very awkward controls, very limited ability to aim and fire. The POV immediately faces you in the opposite direction from where you need to be looking when starting a level, and it is quite slow to adjust your sights back to where you're meant to be looking. Your weapon is woefully inadequate to its assigned task, being poor to aim and incredibly slow to reload. You will very quickly be overwhelmed with little chance to fight back.

Add to this, elements of the UI will just stop responding in controller mode, such as the post mission screen. It won't move to highlight Return To Base to continue. Likewise, attempting to purchase an upgrade to a weapon similarly locks the cursor in place.

This is a fun, evocative survival-type game that respects the player's time. You still have to do survival stuff, but it isn't 90% of the game loop, you have time to go out and explore. There's a main story to pursue, and various side quests you can work on that usually involve growing different kinds of plants--it is still a survival game after all. The graphics are clear very pretty and the visual effects are not overwhelmingly busy. The only problem is that sometimes it doesn't give you quite enough guidance in some areas, and you end up wandering around a bit until you can stumble on the solution (OROS I'm looking at you).

I got this in the most recent Humble Choice and I've recommended it to some friends. I'd recommend it to others who like survival games that aren't built to require the labor multiple people even in single player mode, and give you a balance between the survival/crafting/decorating time and the exploring/fighting/questing time.

This is a very cute and cozy little mild-mannered puzzle game. I only wish there were more of it. The puzzles are pretty easy, but sometimes that's nice to have to work on a bit before going to sleep. The art is good, though a lot of the object/subject matter choices feel like "you have been assigned to clean out your grandmother's house." But again, it's pleasant.

A clever little dice mechanic dungeon-crawler. It is very much working from the Slay the Spire playbook, but with dice. That's not a bad thing, as it gives you options and different ways to shape your playstyle. There are a lot of moving parts involved in some of the combos, which are clever if you can stack them just right. It can sometimes be a little bit hard to figure out all the interactions that are going on, and sometimes the UI is a little obtuse (X should always be examine, Y should always be choose/execute) but it's still EA and some kinks are being worked out. They never let you rest on your laurels, the board is ever-changing, and you'll have to keep thinking on how best to face a given enemy or area.

The graphics and sound are solid and I am always in favor of games where you get to play as a frog. Very smooth pixel art.

You have to switch to the beta branch at present to use Steam Deck/controller but the branch is working well and I look forward to it going prod. Instructions for beta switch:

Interesting idea but completely buggy. Got into the third turn and it wouldn't let me play cards, wouldn't respond to any input. Refunded.

This game absolutely sucks. It requires completely nonsensical actions to even open basic quests, with no guidance on how to pursue them. ("Talk to all the NPCs multiple times" Why the ♥♥♥♥ would I do that?) and then you can go into the first dungeon with massively respawning enemies to find puzzles that require--yes of course--going back to town all in order to eventually face a boss you can't even hurt. No thanks.
