I've made some questionable life choices but installing Dota 2 was probably the worst. It's a black hole for free time a bottomless pit of despair and rage. It’s also incredibly fun. The premise is simple: two teams of five try to destroy each other's base. Sounds easy right? It's not. The learning curve is so steep it’s practically a cliff face and the game will chew you up and spit you out until you’re just a husk of a person repeating "gg" and trying to convince yourself you didn’t just waste three hours of your life. But what really keeps you coming back is the community. We're a family, a dysfunctional screaming family that hates each other but can't live without the constant verbal abuse. The ingame chat is a beautiful mess of insults, accusations, and questionable life advice. You'll hear more creative swear words in a single match of Dota 2 than you'll hear in your entire life. In the end Dota 2 isn't just a game. It's a lifestyle. It's the reason my sleep schedule is non existent and my therapist is considering early retirement. I love it and I hate it and I'll probably be playing it until I'm an old man yelling at kids.

10/10, would recommend if you're looking to ruin your life in the best possible way.
