Early Access Review
Have had some great fun with this so far. Mostly been playing with friends, but even playing Solo is fun, if more challenging because you don't have someone watching your back.

Only thing I'm missing (maybe I actually DID miss/skipped it when I first launched the game, but don't remember seeing anything) is an epilepsy warning. Things can become very flashy depending on which pickups are chosen.

I have no idea why the characters unlocked with this hasn't been listed on this page, seriously. They've all been out for a while now.
Anyway, you get Locke (VI), Riona (VIII), Yuna (X), Kam'lanaut (IX), Vayne (XII) and Snow (XIII), and ofc their accompanying weapons and costume sets, with this "pack" (seems to be a more accurate term at this point).

It does NOT include any other characters, or give access to any more future characters.

Do you like management games, amusement parks, and most importantly Dinosaurs?
If you answered yes to one or more of these, then maybe this game is for you!

Jurassic World Evolved (JWE) is similar to many other park management games (RCT, Planet Tycoon, etc) I've played before, which is a sort of games that I enjoy playing. But what JWE has that neither of those games do, is the fact that (a) neither of them have living, breathing dinosaurs, and (b) they don't have creatures that break out and go on a rampage in your park because you forgot to feed them, or just because they felt like it.
(Note: Some of my Dinos actually did just that while I was writing this... because their pen didn't have enough trees... go figure)

You start of with pretty much nothing. There is a Sandbox mode, but you will have to work a bit to actually unlock it and things to use in it. So, starting the Campaign, you get served a short story and tutorial, seeing you take over as the Park Manager of Isla Matanceros, the northernmost island in the infamous archipelago known from the movies.
You start by building a couple of buildings, sending out a couple of expeditions to find fossils, and then extracting Dino DNA from what was found. Pretty straight forward.
This goes on for a bit until you have enough DNA extracted to start making Dinos and send them into your park. Of course, you don't actually want them IN your park, among the guests, so you'll have to make some enclosures for them to live in.
That is pretty much the game. You find different fossils, you extract DNA, you build pens and make Dinosaurs to live in them... and then you make sure and hope they don't break out and kill people.

Now, I haven't come near to actually "complete" the game, or even unlocking half the Dinos that I can make, but I feel like I'll spend the next 20-50 hours having a lot of fun with this game :)
Oh yeah. Expect to spend some hours at a time playing this. It's not a slow kind of game, but there's so much to do, you'll end up forgetting to look at the time.

I played this a while back in the alpha, but honestly not enough or recent enough to remember any of it, other than that I thought it was as neat game back then.

Coming back to it now, several years later... it still is.
Sure, it's got it flaws, as did the alpha, but I have a feeling this is going to be one of those games I'll sit down and relax with my friends (hopefully).

I could list every pro and con here, but I'm not gonna do that. A bunch of people already have.
The only complaint I have is that there's no tooltip info on a lot of items that really could need it (pet taming food!)

Had a pet turtle named Larry.
He got 3 legs bit off and an eye injury from a mad wolf.

Larry died, but I wonder, if I had any artificial eyes and legs, could I have saved Larry?
Could I have made Larry into a Cyborg Tank/Turtle? Would that have been cool?
I think it would have been cool...
