It is very hard to even find wording how to describe / rate / recommend this game.

Baseline is: You need to LEARN how to like this game.

BIG ADVICE: Do only necessary orders until you get the bike (Reverse Trike) in Chapter 3, and then decide if you want to do some grinding.
ANOTHER ADVICE: When you unlock Premium Deliveries, they are a great way to maximize connection level with bases (distribution centers) and contacts. So while I tried to max out everything as soon as it unlocked, I would play it differently if I were to play again (DIrector's Cut for example).
LOT of easter eggs included :) (one I will mention is a character from Cyberpunk which will enhance your abilities if you read your emails carefully and do some optional deliveries)

At first the game may seem quite repetitive, and in fact, it is. But isn't our daily life repetitive as well? :) Or, it is a point of view. By the time you get to the Chapter 5 you have most of the things unlocked so there is plenty of ways to choose from how to play. Sure you can walk around the whole game (that I am aware of), but you can also utilize faster means of travel. Or balance it if you feel that transportation vehicles take off some of the charm of the game. Also doing the "grinding" stuff unlocks items, so I was very pleasantly suprised that the game was constantly opening up. I think last time I saw something similar was when I was playing Assassin's Creed 2.

Walking around, doing stealth or fighting head on with some of the enemies, everything is up to you. I for example went from cautious approach to full bananas by the time I got to Chapter 4 (yes even the ghostly ones). As I've mentioned in the beginning, it is good to get to Chapter 3 as soon as possible where you get first means of faster transportation (bike - Reverse Trike).

So while I'm still at about the third of the game, I can already tell that there is one or two things that define this game.

FREEDOM
and
GREAT STORYLINE

I personally adore these 2 principles, so in the end, this is MUST recommendation from me. I was at first afraid from feedback and reviews like "walking simulator", but even in worst case, I could recommend anyone to play it on easiest difficulty with only storyline missions and it will still be a wonderful experience.

Keep on keeping on porters :).

Wonderful game, with so many options. Honestly I did not expect managing such stuff as flora, air pressure, etc. The only bottleneck is that the concepts behind the roads and workers are obscure and could use some tweaks in some scenarios. If you happen to stumble upon this problem I recommend definitely google-ing it up or just "build more workers" :D .

Very good playability and game engine seems to be optimized for older HW as well.

This game has some issues, yep. Like s**t went down during the lunch with bugs (I personally was not able to play for 2 months and I PREORDERED), visually not so comparable with E3 trailer during 2012 and some further. But through all this, it's still decent game, with interesting story, characters (thou here you are 50:50 to connect with main hero, chances are that you will not) and most importantly the gameplay. Gameplay is fun, but in time it's get repeated a bit. I would compare it to Assassins Creed 1. It's kind of a tech demo, and base ground for something that can become a great platform. I advise to seek some gameplays vids and maybe some non-spoilered infos about the game.

This game is very hard to decide as a CoD fan. Black Ops series have been especially deep with the story and Black Ops 3 has perhaps the most compelling story of all CoDs. HOWEVER. The presentation of the story is not that straightforward and you may ending up with impression (like me) that it is a garbage which does not make sense. This is a game where probably you need to play it a few times (even if it's linear for you, but hey, there are challenges, achievements, accolades etc. to complete within the singleplayer experience) or you can be as me and try to google after you finish the game "black ops 3 story sucks". In either way you will be very suprised after some digging that you have been most probably played by the story. I consider myself being VERY perceptive and I still missed the point. There is also much question regarding the story still (now 1 year since the game is out) and I haven't seen some agreement in community exactly on all aspects of the story. So I dare you to uncover the truth.

With these interesting things said, the game has some drawbacks. As we are getting used to, the graphics lacks in many aspects due to probably having still the same engine, even though devs are still trying to pour new fancy graphic stuff into it, in my opinion, it is waste of time and they should really move to some new engine. Don't get me wrong, you will see some very nice graphics too. But very ofter it looks mediocre. Animations are on the same page, where main characters are animated "flawlessly" the environment around you often sucks (for example when you land and liftoff jets, the animations are really pain in the ass). Or perhaps you can compare ragdoll of bodies in water with Ghosts, I was very dissapointed with that. On the other hand the gameplay is probably the most streamlined and praised as best of all CoDs so far and the game is very good optimized compared to the Ghosts. I considered until now Treyarch to be the best studio for CoD but I'm not convinced anymore. It doesn't mean they are bad, but the current way CoD is heading (which in my opinion is from 90% caused by Activison policy = hate the managers) has taken it's toll heavily on Black Ops 3. So I will cut off my smalltalk here and I will put it very simply:

Pros:
- gameplay
- story
- multiplayer experience
- main animations
- performance (optimalizations - 4 years old mid-higher rig running almost full details on 1080 at 60+ fps in singleplayer)

Cons:
- graphics
- secondary animations
- story presentation (80% of people will IMHO not get the picture)
- very poor connection to the previous 2 Black Ops games (no Masons, no Reznov, only one refference to Menendez)

Bottomline:
Is it worth 60$/€? No way. Why is it being sell for that money? Because publishers are used to that people are used to buy at that price (mostly on consoles, CoD is selling on PC 5-15% max of all volume). What money is it worth then? I would say that 40$/€ at max on Steam, but I would probably advise to buy it elsewhere for 20-25$/€ max. This applies to CoD fans like myself. For others who would just like to try, I would advise to divide that sum by 1.5 - 2x.

So yes, I recommend the game, but decide very carefully.

Has it's issues? Yes. But seems that it was way worse than before and devs did hell of a job of fixing it. I'm running basically a 2012 high-end rig and have no problem running it at great details. Only thing that bothers me is basically the animations. I would say that even the price is reasonable comparing it some of every year 50$/€ piece of you know what games.

PS: Has a bit of a Dead Island spark to it (in the open world meaning).
