Pending lol

Great Roleplay medium for those that like writing and telling a story, all done as a collaborative writing project with the whole of the community - or at least those that wish to partake in the overarching story. There are portions of the player base who prefer to play from a more casual and detached point in the world, though there are many that want to drive things forward and cause engaging conflict through world-effecting goals. While it's slowed down a LOT in preparation for a rebase to Unity for the sake of fixing a lot of issues, I'd like to use my much higher playtime now to relay some things.

Character growth and progression is determined predominately by the effort put into the game and consistency in chasing goals from an IC perspective. If you have a character you want to play with something specific in mind, be that a 'Paladin'-esque character that wants to see the world purified of Demons and Undead and stick to that, you can develop as a major figure that spearheads that movement. If you want to do the opposite it's entirely possible as well, and you can become a highly infamous and immensely powerful antagonist that terrorizes the world at large.

All it takes is playing your goals! PvP, Conflict stirred up by yourself with your ideals, Intrigue (which is admittedly hard/next to impossible to do GENUINELY in this medium with how much metacommunication and preplanning is done by some people), Events run by Event Masters for your character and their allies, etc, are all options in making progress towards your goals. The journey to get there is the best part, and through it, if you're playing to your IC you'll always find rewards for it in the app system.

Now! There's a lot of outrageous claims in negative reviews that people have been throwing out lately, and the main explanation is that these people are people who's characters have died under fair circumstances, have been banned from the game for heinous or blatant rulebreaks, or are friends of such individuals. I'd advise disregarding a large portion of them, especially ones that released all at once within a small timeframe. Some of these people who left such reviews have even returned to the game after venting here in the review section.

Like I said however, the game is slow at the time of writing in preparation for a rebase! When Unity comes out (A few months after this review maybe? Don't quote me on that I don't know), then I'd say absolutely give it a shot. Put it on the backburner for now if you want a game to roleplay high fantasy stuff on, it's about the best option out there.
