Though the decision making from the company behind the game has been topsy turvy and eyebrow raising at times, I must say how damn good and addictive this game is.

I have close to 60 hours played on Steam, and about 200 through the Tempo client itself (you can see this stat in game under your profile).

The game is an Asynchronous Auto Battler where you visit different vendors each "hour" of a "day", choosing different types of items to build an ever growing board. At the end of each day, you battle against the 'ghost' of another players build at that same point of the run.

The gameplay loop is incredibly addictive as you try to generate gold and build the best possible engine you can - with the hope that what you have built is more linear and powerful that what another player has managed to come up with during their run.

Given it is effectively a draft game, it's very difficult to force builds especially as the item pool grows, this gives the game extreme replayability. It also rewards creativity, as sure, you can always look for 'meta items', but I have way more fun going off the beaten path and trying something whacky, as it's way more satisfying when (if) it comes together.

I cannot deny the game is expensive, but I can guarantee it's a tonne of fun, even with the base games 3 heroes.

Probably the best Roguelike I have ever played. The combat is insanely fluid, fast paced, responsive and most of all fun.

There are a variety of weapons / items that enable many many different playstyles. The progression system in terms of items and difficulty feels meaningful and exciting - getting a blueprint for a weapon and needing to survive the level to secure it creates a thrilling experience.

Look forward to sinking more hours into this one over the years.

Incredible game, just don't introduce your significant other to the game or you will never see your Steam Deck again.

Really sweet game. The music is awesome and I have enjoyed messing around with different builds and adapting to the boss Slay the Spire style.

I have wishlisted the game and will wait for it to be half price. I wouldn’t pay $20aud for it.

The best 2D Platformer I have ever played, and it's not even close.

The difficulty progression is so natural and seamless in Celeste that I never once during the main play through had to search online for how to complete a section, which I think speaks volume to it's level design.

Couple that with the best Main Character feel in any 2D Platformer (Moving Madeline is as smooth as butter and every input is precise), amazing pixel sprites and a calming soundtrack to juxtapose the 300th death you have encountered in a level, it really is just a must play experience.

Highly recommended from casuals to hardcore players alike.
