I gave this game a chance and played it for an hour, not fun at all and is just painful. As I have real experience with powered lifting equipment such as the ones in this game I know that they go faster than normal walking pace, it's painfully slow and requires you to go long distances. The physics don't even exist and makes no sense. Finally sounds constantly get stuck requiring you to hit all the keys to control the forks until it stops.

I can have fun with repetitive boring stuff especially using equipment like these but oh my this game messes that up taking whatever fun there could be.

The last time a COD game has made me emotionally invested was the Modern Warfare campaigns. And this one takes the cake and then some as I couldn’t wait for every character interaction and cutscene not just because they look so good but it was just another way to pull me in and prepare me for the next mission. Being thrown with a group of random people at the start and quickly caring for them not to long after, I’d even find myself screaming irl for Zussman when I needed a medkit. Cause the plot wasn’t just ā€œHey there are Nazis, kill them.ā€ it was also riding the rollercoaster with the characters whether it’s Zussman making you laugh or Pierson screaming in your face.
I do think having the mechanic to where each character in your group does something different like Stiles giving you grenades or Turner giving ammo when you need it, it makes you want to stick by your men instead of runin n’ gunning giving them a useful purpose. Plus it’s not op because it’s a form of killstreak, the more Nazis you kill the closer you get to some more health or even a mortar fire. I’d always try and play COD campaigns and for me Black Ops 1 and 2 for example didn’t pull me in, I didn’t care to keep playing and have never felt I should go back and play them, but the Modern Warfare series I’ve stayed up all night playing through them one after another. And I always try to enjoy single player games and invest myself into them regardless of how many times I’ve died over and over cause if it’s a good game then it is worth it to me to get through it and this game does not fail on that. I even forced myself to take breaks so I wouldn’t finish it to fast, and would get so scared when I thought I was about to be over and I’d think I knew that something would happen to a specific character and then surprise me when I wasn’t even close. It wasn’t too predictable so my critic side of me couldn’t ruin it for me.

I will say that care and work went into this game and wasn’t another copy and paste ā€œCOD: NOW WITH EVEN MORE ROBO SUITS!ā€ It might be the fact I prefer real situations and actually events being portrayed in games but I still believe this was well well worth my money, time and was a great game.

Even though it has its minor problems once in awhile it has brought me hundreds and hundreds of hours of pure entertainment in the contrary. Having no other experience with other train simulators I’d still have to say this is well built when it comes to doing tasks in a scenario, enjoying a quick drive with your choice of train and its consist or even creating your own routes and scenarios and sharing it with the respectable community. Also when it comes to some of the DLCs they might be overpriced but this is a hobby, if you want more the options are there so you spend as you please. Plus sales are a thing and if a DLC is a rip off then it can still be refunded so I don't see the problem.

People tell me it’s just a waste of money and then they go spend much more than I have on their favorite game/hobby that I would deem a waste so their point is a bit invalid. But they can think what they want because riding the rails is what matters to me.

Just to start off, I think the Sherman Hill route felt more scenic and enjoyable that this. I very quickly ran through most of the route and was seemingly accurate (Judging only from Train Maps Live) but the only thing you really get to see most of the time is the roads/highways and they are roughly put together (Some roads going to/over the crossing aren’t even correct and 1 or 2 crossing(s) have cars that spawn right in front of them and driving over regardless if the crossing gates are closed). All scenarios function correctly, the driver cabs, train exterior and passenger view look good and sounds are quality. Now getting the biggest bundle for this route (Giving me 3 more trains with 3 scenarios each) did give me more to do, but it didn’t feel completely worth getting the extra DLC cause the only thing i’ve sort of found ā€œworthā€ is the P42DC Amtrak loco/cars you get with this. In the end even though it’s Miami and the map has some good effort but the scenarios make it feel bland to me (Even the ā€œFlorida Stormā€ scenario isn’t to eventful… it just rains for a while causing no dilemmas which isn’t what I expected from the first time playing it).

There were times I found myself staring off into the quite beautiful scenery having a hard time keeping my eyes on the signals. All scenarios function correctly, the driver cab, train exterior and passenger view look great and sounds are quality.

If you just want to add to your collection this DLC is fairly good in my opinion. All scenarios function correctly, the driver cab, train exterior and passenger view look great (especially the DB BR218’s cab and exterior) and sounds are quality (the only problem was the DB BR218 has no exterior rolling sound, but inside it sounds phenomenal).

In my opinion the scenarios feel longer than they say but it isn't a bad thing cause it's fairly relaxing, if you like slow paced easy passenger trains then this is DLC you want, sadly I wish there was more freight scenarios. All scenarios function correctly (except "[175] 2U20 Taunton to Cardiff" there seems to be a problem at the end with an AI train and arrival time not being possible), the driver cabs and passenger views look great and sounds are great quality.
