Game is retarded, in a lovable Forrest Gump sort of way

Though on record I don't have many hours, I have done 2 previous playthroughs on xbox and I have thouroughly enjoyed this game. The story is great and the player interaction and diologue is something out of a hollywood blockbuster. That being said the gameplay of this game is very repetative and it gets tiresome very quickly. Every mission in this game is the same thing, drive here, listen for noise and press button. The action scenes in this game feel like a watered down version of Grand Theft Auto's fight sequences, chase sequences, and shoot outs. The scale of this also feels not as important as at the end of each section it pulls a sitcom classic of everything will work out in the end. The saving grace of this game is the great story and neat character arch as well as the atmosphere present. It goes from the shining city of Los Angeles to the gritty back alleys of Hollywood. This is a good game and deserves a try 6.5/10.
