There's a reason it's $2.75CAD. Go treat yourself to a pop from a vending machine instead - at least that way, you'll get some kind of sugar rush and you won't waste your time on this disaster of a game.

Until they fix the bugs, it's a AAA title price that's bugged to the point it's unplayable (look up "far cry 5 disappearing weapons" on Google. You'll see in a hurry.

These clowns should be sued for fraud. There's a massive difference between not getting a bunch of features promised and pissing and moaning that the game wasn't what you expected - This is the former.

Preface: This game took a lot of s**t, even from myself, due to a DLC screw-up they made for people who bought the "You get all the DLC" version of the game. One of the companies involved with the game decided that the final DLC was "outside" of the originally promised sale of "All of the DLC" tier of the game's time frame and the players went bonkers. In the end, all of the top tier buyers got the new DLC they added for free and all was right in the world - even to the point of issuing refunds to people who had already bought the DLC but were entitled to it. Also, let me be clear that this wasn't a tiny "Ouu, look, a new shiny thing!" kind of DLC - It was game changing and brought back a lot of features players wanted. Considering it an "expansion pack" (if anyone remembers what those were) would be a bit more accurate.

Should it have happened in the first place? No. Did they manage the situation as well as possible? Not by a long-shot. BUT, did they get things resolved within less than a week of the DLC dropping and learn a huge lesson from it? Yes, they did. If they didn't, then someone in their PR department is huffing glue as their day job.

So with that out of the way, my review, from when I first started playing and before I sunk an embarrassing amount of time into the game...

The Review:

This game is definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but I see no reason that you wouldn't enjoy it if you enjoyed the previous titles in the series. I enjoy how they took some of the more tedious elements out (like separating combat into it's own zones rather than some jerk pirate ship taking out my cargo ships right and left), made it so that each "zone" is it's own "faction" rather than trying to cram everyone onto a cluster of islands, and added sector projects. I'm not as much of a fan of how there's not much to do for selling surplus goods for profit other than the few slots you're given to send them up to space.

Bonus points for using a lot of the same voice actors since it'll give you a chuckle seeing their new roles and a few throwbacks to previous games (if you sit on the technology screen long enough, ADAM will eventually glitch out while talking to you and might seem a bit too familiar for fans of 2070...)

People are really overracting about this game's "issues" on the whole - especially when they fail to grasp the scope and technicality going on behind the scenes.

Botched every USB device on my system consistently after formatting several times. Avoid like the plague. Refer to newly updated comments as of 2015/06/11
