there are so many sweaty goons in this game but my god is it fun when you lock in with a proper squad

people mad about the increase of KoS in Arc Raiders should consider getting gud. Dictate the fight, choose to be the fun guy, rez people and bool around the map with your new friends

That said it's kind of required to play for hours.

It was fun until I realized it's a never ending pointless grind.

This game has one of the most compelling stories I’ve ever had the joy of experiencing. The art style and direction are absolutely beautiful, and the musical score? Fantastic. I’ve been on a bit of a JRPG and turn-based kick lately, and Expedition 33 just completely shattered the bar. It moved the goal post forward in a way I didn’t expect.

The rhythm-based, real-time blocking, parries, and free-aim shooting is such a smart way to break up the usual turn-based formula—it keeps you engaged without overcomplicating things. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if this becomes a new standard for the genre.

The characters and story have a ton of depth, and without spoiling anything (though in hindsight, the game gives you little clues), the twist from Act II to III hit so hard and it makes your decision towards the end much more difficult to muster. It's one of the most exciting and shocking story moments I’ve experienced since The Last of Us Part II.

I’m so glad I gave this game a shot. I’m literally foaming at the mouth waiting to see what Sandfall Interactive does next. This one’s 100% worth paying full price for.

This game just does not run. Despite the patches, the game just feels half baked, whenever I can get more than 5 minutes of playtime. I'm going back to Anomaly.
