Early Access Review
Good evening everyone,

Background information:
10-15 hours in the Soft Launch
15 hours into Deathgarden Deluxe

First of all, I implore you to please consider reviews higher than 1 hour into the game. Reason for this is because people play a game and rage quit without giving any consilidation on why they didn't win or whatsoever.

Second of all, if you are on the fence on if you should PURCHASE deathgarden I would highly recommend watching streamers through mixer, twitch, or any streaming service without just going in head first without any ideals about the game at all except half the crybaby reviews. It gives you a more broad outlook about how the game is played as well as it speaks for itself by the people playing it.

Now for my review of Deathgarden,

Deathgarden may be made by Behavior, the same content creators of Dead by Daylight, but it is NO WHERE NEAR the same gameplay experience. There is some balancing issues based on playing with people in near or around your rank and level but keep in mind this game is still in early access and has much to improve on.

There is some issues between Hunter and Runner that need to be balanced. [Keep in mind this is only my opinion]

Hunter Issues I have noticed:
Fade - The Hunter does not lose stealth when they has started another action i.e shooting, execution, etc. This causes a problem because runners find this hard to play against because they simply just cannot see them and the hunter can have their way.
Shotgun - 2 shots with the auto shotgun is basically an insta-kill. Even with a healer that does healing per second cannot out heal any shotgun shots unless they sparatically jump around like a chicken with its head cut off.
Bolt Action Sniper - The sniper shots are not fully registered, if it shows up as a hit on a runner (its supposed to be a instakill) from the hunters perspective but the runner supposedly dodged it from their perspective, the instakill down does not happen.

Runners
Degenerative Shot [Control] - This one is especially annoying for Hunters because of the fact it forces a killer to reload when in a given chase.
Blind [Torment] - Really bright and disorienting for the killer. It should only just be a faint light that fills up the screen but it instead is a purple glow that disorients the screen(meaning to move it back and forth) to where you can't see anything.

Matchmaking Balances
As I have previously stated, matchmaking issues are not at all balanced. You can have 15-100+ hours in the game and still get paired with someone who just purchased the game. The only current ranking system Deathgarden has is using the alphabet system that goes by EXP earned. I feel like this is currently being worked on by the Deathgarden Developers because it does bring runners down when playing with someone not exactly their skill or "MR" sort of speak. Keep in mind EARLY ACCESS GAME.

Misc Issues
As you may have seen in other reviews, Deathgarden doesn't really give you much more of an incentive to play. Unfortunately you grind tokens as you level up to unlock some of the outfits that your character may wear but soon you will earn enough to purchase them all. After that the main incentive is purely competitive - just trying to be the best. I feel like this will cause issues and purely be the games downfall. I feel like they need to add more things to keep the game energetic and fun and not so much competitive.

Another issue is there is no "Leaver Buster" system that penalizes players that leave the game. Given that Deathgarden is a 5v1 scenario it is VERY needed that all 5 runners be present and accounted for. If someone leaves then it renders the remaining runners useless depending if they are going against someone in either high or low ranks.

Last issue I want to address is that Runners can see the name and rank of the Hunter that they are going to go against but not the Hunter. It gives the Runners more of an edge because first of all they know their "rank" and can plan a course of action that gives them the upper hand. I feel as if the Hunter should also be able to see the ranks of the runners as well so the playing field is a bit more equal because this game is purely on skill based.

Alas as a closer on my review, these are purely my initial thoughts and can be argued. My opinions are my opinions and with that can be flawed. I tried to use a scope that will be equal on both ends and not trying to target one initial side as bias. I hope this review has been useful to you. :)
