Qrko my beloved

The sheer scale of Metaphor's world building is something I haven't seen being done in the first instalment of a series before.

Halfway through, the game starts revealing plot points that may seem too ambitious to stick the landing but somehow it not only manages to expand on everything but also wraps things up beautifully near the end.

Yes there was potential for much much more but that only speaks on how well crafted the world and the history surrounding it is. Almost reminded me of nier at some parts of the story because of how that game handled the events that took place before the current timeline . Excited to see where they take this world and its characters next.

As for the gameplay, the combat and progression here flows super well and the archetype system especially feels very rewarding when everything clicks after hours of build up. Easily some of the best turn based combat I have experienced and this is coming from someone who has played quite a few of them including 3 of the more recent Persona games.

The music is also some of the best in gaming, each track fits the theme perfectly and I don't think there's a single miss. From grand orchestral spectacles to chanting monks, every single track felt fresh and unique while simultaneously being a banger.

Overall: 9.5/10 story, 10/10 gameplay and 10/10 music. Absolute CINEMA
